Problem Tracking Clicks From Product Review Site

I have just got my head around Google Analytics and set it up on some of my sites.

I have a product Review site that is working a bit, so I'd like to see the stats for visitors that click links in my site. The problem is the destination after clicking a link is the site I am promoting so I can't put my analytics code on this.

Is there a way of tracking clicking on links with Google Analytics?

I wondered if I could put up a special page with the message "you will be redirected in 10 seconds. If you are not redirected click here".

I've seen these sorts of pages many times but have never understood what their purpose is. If I adopted this, my Review site links could point to the redirect page and the redirect could then take them to my affiliate link.

My next question would then be how do you create a timed redirect page in wordpress?

By doing this I could use the Google Analytics code to track how many clicks are made from my Review site.

I really want to know if my low level of sales is due to my Review site not persuading visitors to click on to the product site, or if the product sales page is not converting well.

Has anyone tackled this problem?
