Children's Books as Ebooks?

Hello Warriors,

Are any of you writing children's books as PDF e-books?

One of the female voiceover artists I work with told me that she would love to have the chance to turn children's books into audiobooks. We've just put a lot of effort into upgrading her audio recording capability so she can do the initial recording without the need of someone else running the recording gear.

Just thought I'd see if anyone is working in this niche.

In the traditional publishing market, children's books are probably the most competitive and difficult to break in to. I have serious doubts they'd do well as PDFs either, since so far most fiction hasn't done well in that medium that I've seen.

For audio though, you might have something. When our kids were little we bought classic books on tape to play for them on road trips. And when they got to high school there were required books for literature and AP classes. I'd bet if they could have gotten those required books on MP3 they would have loved it

yes its very difficult to get in this niche my partners tried in US and they failed

I was thinking of the same too. Great idea. Convert the children's books to audio file, upload it in iPod and the kids can listen anytime they want. It would be also a good supplement to kids who are learning to read. Good luck.
