Monetizing Tumblr

Hello,

I've been using MyLikes.com to monetize my Tumblr account but was wondering if there are any other advertising sites that are similar to this one and perhaps even over more $ per click?

    I think that tumblr is a slightly hard website to monetize because the audience is young and internet savvy, and thus generally don't do things like click on affiliate links. However, Pinterest can be a gold mine. Sorry this didn't directly answer your question...

    Sign up for a publisher account at an ad network, such as Google Adsense, Project Wonderful or adBrite. Ad sites allow you to customize your own ads. The site will generate HTML code to post the ad on your tumblr blog.

      yes you could monetize it with google adsense.

      Have you used Project Wonderful on your blog? I just looked at them and the site says it's use is a good way to get cheap advertising--is that worthwhile for a publisher?

      Can you control the type of ads displayed to avoid advertising you don't like?

        Tumblr should be used as a funnel to your money site(s). Getting traffic on tumblr is easy, monetising on Tumblr is hard. Tumblr make money from tumblr, you should make money from sites you own and control The fact Tumblr seems ban happy on sites that are trying to monetise ON tumblr doesn't help. Use all the usual tricks in the book to get users to your sites * click throughs on images * small / low quality images with promise of full quality on site * water marker * squeeze text * offer something on the site (or at least say you do ;-)
