XSitePro paying $20 to affiliates just to write an article.

I thought this was rather clever, and at the same time inspires affiliates to go out and do something.

Basically I (affiliate list) got an email from the affiliate manager at XSitePro saying they will pay me $20 to write an original article about the product and post it one of my websites. It can have my affiliate link in it to XSPro of course but it's MY affiliate link, so if it does get a follow thru sale, it is I who will get the commission.

So I can see it adds more active affiliates out there, but also a potentially significant surge in SEO traffic back to XSPro given what may very well be numerous new backlinks from original content.

What do you think? Clever, expensive, risky, foolish.... been there done that?

I think it's really smart $20 for a permanent link coming from original content. I wonder how many they'll get. Seems like a win/win for everybody even if no one makes a sale.

Plus it's a great way to generate some activity from your lower level affiliates.

I'm sure they're monitoring the backlinks and conversions. If it doesn't prove profitable, they'll end the offer asap.

I already wrote mine and have been paid. And, the article has been picked up by the search engines. This is a great deal for all.

Hi Marty:

I hope the promotion turns out to be superlative for all. I applaud the company for looking for ways to expand their presence and to inspire people to write. If you create an article and get any compensation it may energize you to do this in other non related segments and could help generate additional monies and name recognition.

I hope the stats show XSITEPRO executives that the 20.00 is money wort hspent!
