The Greatest WSO EVER = The Search Feature on the Warrior Forum (Newbies Take Notice)

Hello All....

The amount of information that exists on this one website alone is mind-boggling. So many people come here looking for an answer, and boy do they get it. They get as many answers as they want.

I know humans are naturally lazy. Most people want things fed to them on a platter. And that's fine but it's very limiting.

What is it that you are wanting to know? Kindle? Adsense? Clickbank? Email marketing? The Warrior Forum is bursting with information on those topics plus plenty more.

You just have to look. Make the "Search" feature your favorite thing on the Warrior Forum.

The constant flow of "how do I make money online?" threads are from people just discovering the Warrior Forum. Instead of asking questions, using the search feature will see what similar questions were asked about the topic.

Be proactive. If you want to learn, be active about it by searching the forum for past threads. There's "gold in them threads."

A couple of years ago I made a comment in a thread saying some of the same things. I was then told by a member that they simply couldn't be "bothered" with having to spend the time searching themselves. They felt that by continuing to ask the same questions that have been asked countless times, that they would get fresh answers.

Granted, some techniques and methods to become antiquated over time. But for the most part, there are plenty of timeless, valuable, proven principles that deal with making money online.

The old threads are bursting with information.

That's their own problem then. There is a ton of GREAT information archived here. And they can see the dates of the post, so it wouldn't be that hard to find "fresh" information.

I agree with you almost 1%.

However, this is a discussion forum. If I were a betting man I would bet that just about every topic and subtopic, and question has already been asked on this forum.

SO, does that means WF should not accept any new topics. It should should just become a WIKI? Don't think so buddro.

So in one thread, you're complaining because (and I'm not saying you're wrong about this) non-experts are chiming into these types of threads which, as you pointed out can be extremely misleading (again not disagreeing with you.)

Yet, in this one, you're discouraging people from buying a product on a topic from someone who is (supposedly) an expert on said topic and (hopefully) doesn't just talk theory but actually uses what they are selling in their WSO.

I only put the supposedly and hopefully in above because unfortunately some WSO sellers are just as bad as the non-experts who give bad advice in the main forum. You have to do some due diligence of the seller and make your own decision.

I just don't get what you're trying to do with these two threads that are extremely contradictory.

yep but it's not going to happen, it's a discussion board, people like to ask questions, and they like to feel like they are receiving responses to THEIR question - that's what makes forums like this popular in the first place.

I've always advocated more use of the Search facility, especially for newbies. It should be a stipulation that they can't post new threads for the first month after joining WF, and it should be DRUMMED into them that they should make full use of the Search option during that time.

I started a thread with the suggestion that some of the more common newbie questions have links to the Search answers. Needless to say it was unceremoniously booted out to the nether regions of the Suggestion Forum in the Chat Room. The reason for this? Too many killjoys running scared that the rich pickings they get from touting their services to utter newbies would be drastically curtailed, if said newbies were more enlightened in the first instance. Oh, and the old chestnut that it would mean less visitors and the boards being quieter. What a load of crap. It would lead to more stimulating conversation and a lot less repetitiveness on here.

I wouldn't say that I sounded like I was "complaining" in either thread, just expressing a thought. Two thoughts, actually. And I don't believe that they are "contradictory." Although I will admit to having strong liking to using quotation marks and parenthesis.

I do believe there is plenty of untapped, unappreciated knowledge freely available to anyone who wants it. Just search.
