Notepad Alternative

INTERNET MARKETING

Do any of you know of a software or tool that has the below 3 things

- Ability to Open multiple tabs
- Color selected text
- Free

I tried Notepad ++ and EditPad Lite (have tabs and free cant color)
Tried Word Pad - (free and color text but no tabs)

NoteTabLight does multiple tabs and is free.
Haven't check to do if it does color.

notepad++ is more than anyone would need in a text editor.. short of those crazy Vim and emacs guys .. It supports tabs, syntax highlighing, 100% free

I've been using Crimson Editor for years. It's free and it rocks. Does everything you could want, even syntax highlighting.

I'm quite fond of PS Pad:

editor PSPad - freeware HTML editor, PHP editor, XHTML, JavaScript, ASP, Perl, C, HEX editor

It has the features you asked for and is free.

  I believe eWriter Pro has multiple tabs and is more or less a lite version of what Adobe Acrobat does.

When I used a PC I always used Textpad: TextPad - the text editor for Windows You download a copy and try before you buy - a single user license is under $20.00.

Now that I am a Mac user, I use either BBedit or Taco:

Edit Plus is the best but it is not free. PSPad is also good but hasn't been updated in 2 years.
