Anyone making money in the dog training niche?

I figure it's not one of the most profitable niches but I know some of you have experience in it.

I've been working on building trust with my emails and soft selling. I can tell my subscribers like my emails because I have very few unsubscribes and people send me emails thanking me for the info I share.

But it hasn't been converting well for me and I just wanted to have an idea if it's worth my time to continue building my email list.

People are making a killing in that industry, heck I know a guy who sold his dog training "affiliate" site for almost six figures.

Perhaps the problem your having with your list is that they got used to the soft sell and value you gave them (maybe too much?).

They think "hey, this guy gave me great info before so why buy? He'll send me another great tip next week" if you catch my drift?

But then again, if you continue to soft sell and get a real trust relationship this technically shouldn't be a problem, so maybe it's down to the products your promoting?

I'm thinking you might be right. I've been promoting 2 clickbank offers. "Dog food Secrets", and "Secrets To Dog Training". They seem to be the most popular on clickbank and I see that some affiliates are earning with them.

I dont really talk too much about training in the emails. I focus more on setting a good foundation by building a stronger bond, giving commands the right way and reading your dog's signals. Then after a few emails explaining these things, I lead them to the training book.

Clearly I'm not doing something right. Just not quite sure what...

Very true. But is he doing any email marketing? Probably not...

The factual answer to that statement is yes he is doing email marketing, and he has marketed himself and his skills very effectively which is why he is who he is...

It sounds like your already making excuses for failure before you even get started. be careful not to talk yourself out of your own success...

There are a to of very successful people in the dog training space.

There are more new dog owners out there that need advice than peoples who really want to loose weight. Also a dog is like a child you don't want it to treat bad.
So I believe the dog training niche IS an evergreen niche.

Probably you should analyze your emails and get a course how to compose emails that get conversions.
