This boosted my income more than just about anything

So, like most folks here on the forum... I've bought a ton of marketing
courses, ebooks, DVDs, guru launches, etc...

I was around for the first Traffic Secrets launch with John Reese, and
happily bought many courses after that.

Now, I'm ALL for continuing education... I think it's important.

However, there comes a time when enough is enough.

So, here's a sentence that has made me more money than just
about any other I could write.

** Instead of being a consumer, start being a producer.

In other words, instead of buying the latest launch or guru ebook,
start creating more of your own content, ebooks, courses, DVDs,
etc....

That way, instead of BUYING and losing money... you start SELLING
and making money.

Again, don't get me wrong... I buy a lot of books.

Sh*t, today I just bought Triggers by Joe Sugarman and a few other books to read.

But most of my reading is done on weekends... it's my "fun" hobby of choice.

I know, I know, I'm pretty lame and boring... but thankfully I have a wife who loves to read as well.

But honestly, the less you buy and the more you produce... you'll see your income take a nice big jump.

A lot of beginners need to buy a few things here and there, to learn the direction they want to take their business.

But if you make it a habit of always buying stuff... that means you don't put in a lot of time to CREATE and PRODUCE.... which is where the real money is.

One way around this is to outsource your content creation and have others do it for you.

That's one big secret to success... outsource and hire others to help you grow your biz.

But remember... producing value for others involves PRODUCING.

So, when you come across a new book launch, a new course, or anything else you may find yourself wanting to buy... ask yourself "will this help me get closer to my goals, or not help me in my business much at all."

If it doesn't move you closer to where you want to go... skip or delete the email.

Only consume/buy those things that will help you fulfill your business goals.

And instead... start producing more things you can sell. You can't sell and make money if you're always buying/consuming.

Believe me... switch from consumer to producer and you'll see your income go up a lot.

Seems obvious to me. Selling creates revenue and purchases create expenses. Hopefully, what is learned from the expenses, or the software / tools obtained, are used to create income.

"You are the media. Most people watch, listen and consume.
Those who read, think, strategize and create, rule.

      You have exactly two options:
      Consume for Creators
      or...
      Create for Consumers

Obviously we can not make any money by just read that courses. Simply to do what we can do and learn by ourself.

    Stop learning and start earning.

That's the motto we need to live by.

It's very rare that someone isn't successful due to lack of knowledge... it's almost always due to lack of action.

This is something I am working on. Now that I am working more and reading less I see my business going in the right direction. It's an obvious thing in retrospect but I needed to do it to really solidify the idea.

I know I'm guilty of this just like so many others.

I'll take a half hour here... to surf Facebook or check email,
or check out some of the mixed martial arts blogs I love to read.

So, in the course of a 5 hour work day or somewhere around there...
many times I spend an hour or more just "goofing off" or doing
    non-productive work.

I can almost guarantee that many people are guilty of this as well...
where it's just too darn easy to take long breaks, do non-productive
    things online, etc...

And you know what, this is fine!

Hell, it's why we signed up for this lifestyle!

but you don't have the right to complain about things
    like I used to.

when I first started... I spent 10 to 12 hour days online.

yes, much of it was spent really working hard... but now i look back
and realize a lot of time online was spent doing non-productive things.

so these days, I'll ask myself this question before I do almost anything
online: will this task increase my money-making chances... or hurt it.

that will help me decide if i do it or not.

again, you don't have to be a huge stickler and never do anything fun or time-wasting online.

but if you're not making the money you want... take a look at what you're actually doing all day.

if you're doing a lot of non productive stuff... you found your answer.

again, be a producer and not consumer.

write ebooks, articles, copy, google ads, solo ads, emails, JV emails, affiliate emails, etc....

Produce things that can lead to income.

Don't just surf and check stuff out... and then wonder why you're not making the money you want.

and again, i'm guilty of this all the time.

But i'm also very aware of it too, now, that I've trained my mind to really focus on creating content/producing content that will help me earn money... and i try to dedicate most of my time to this.

Be a producer that actually coaches people towards success instead of just selling a product for the money...

      I agree 1,000%

you'll find that some of the richest people in the world have helped the most people. that's just the way it works.

help a massive number of people = get rich

do nothing but just chase money, buys products, don't try to help massive amounts of people, or sell sh*tty products = you're not going to make a lot.

and yes, there are definitely exceptions... people do and will get rich selling bogus stuff, not adding massive value to others, etc.... but for longevity sakes... build a business the right way.

Produce products that add massive value and you will make money.
