Dropping Email Marketing to Resell MRR Products - Good or Bad?

I'm not doing to well email marketing wise, an i see more potential in marketing sites with Paypal buttons rather than a clickbank one. Payments go straight to me, no hassle, no wait, then into my bank account the next day. It's fast and convenient. I think the only hard part is getting targeted traffic, which really won't be that hard if i focus everything on that. But, the only place im stuck at is how to do that, and if it's the right move..

My email never got that big, because i never really had the money for PPC, and my methods of free traffic generation were horrible, (even after i took some 'professional' advice) and really just a waste of time. So i figured i would profit way more from driving traffic to these sales pages, then that would be the end of it. simple, and easy steps:

1. find a product.
2. Add your domain.
3. drive traffic
4. make sales.
5. repeat.

how does look/sound?

Please excuse the observation that this was an "interesting" start to a thread from someone whose website has as its very first post a promotion for an "essential guide to list-building"! Are you planning a change of niche/market, as well as a change of marketing methods, Nicholas?

I've never found this, myself. ClickBank has a PayPal button on all its order pages anyway.

Surely it's only in IM/MMO niches that you can't reliably get paid on ClickBank sales (because people so often buy them through their own affiliate links rather than through yours)?

Is that the problem you've had? That waiting for ClickBank pay-dates has been a nuisance? Fair enough, if it has been, and you think you can make sales without using ClickBank. What are you going to sell, though?

How is what you're proposing here going to be a solution to that problem, though?

Might it be an option to continue what you're doing, or some of it (not in the IM/MMO niches, obviously - you've already covered that part fairly extensively, I think, in earlier threads? ) but with better/different/other traffic generation methods?

I've never been able to sell anything by driving traffic directly to sales pages, I have to say. What "sells stuff", it seems to me, is the strength of the relationship (of trust and respect) between the person doing the promoting and the potential customer. People buy from people they like and trust. This is why there are so many threads here packed out with posts about the importance of building relationships by email ... it's the number one thing that so many successful Warriors keep on saying they'd "start to do on day one", if they were starting afresh tomorrow (because we all know, with hindsight, that we didn't earn any real money until we started doing that).

I think you're completely right to be looking for "other things to do" if the current plans are still going badly, but I guess I'm asking for "more information", here, because I don't understand how dropping the email marketing is going to increase the chances of making sales. It seems counter-intuitive (though sometimes successful plans do, I admit!).

You're planning to be a vendor, then (of what?), rather than an affiliate? Or have I misunderstood you?

I see your reference to "MRR products", but I don't understand how doing that, instead of what you're doing now, solves the causes of the problems you have now? Sorry if I've missed the point a little, here, but I'm wondering why, if you're not generating targeted enough (or "enough targeted") traffic and establishing the necessary relationships to be able to recommend and sell products now, this plan is suddenly going to make that happen?

You will always make more when they are your product. See formula below.
1, Affiliate and test product and market.
    2. Create a better product.
    3. Gather affiliates to sell your product
    4. Repeat steps 1-3

why not let affiliates drive most of the traffic?

It seems that you would still be stuck with the same issue ie getting targetted
traffic. For your email marketing , as you said you need targeted traffic to build
your list and you have not done so well.

    Have you tried solo ads?

How about you combine email marketing ,solo ads and MRR ?

I have been success using the following strategy before.

    1. Create a landing page with a great offer (use plr MRR)
    2. Send traffic to your landing page and get optins using solo ads
    3. Before they get to the download page after opt in , you offer
a OTO which is is a PLR you sell for $7.

If the number of sales cover your expenditure, then you effectively
getting soloads for free ! But then you have a chance to be making profit
as well from this simple funnel.
