Yes, you can add an optin form on a Wordpress blog. The simplest way is to just get the web form code from your autoresponder and paste it right into a 'Text' widget in your sidebar. Widgets can be accessed by going to 'Appearance > Widgets'. The other way is to just get that same optin form code and paste it inside your post or page.

Most email services (such as Aweber) will provide you with the ability to create a sign-up form, customise it (fields, content, colours, etc), and give you the HTML of that form to embed in your site.

In the case of Wordpress, you can place this HTML into a page, post or most likely a widget area (tends to be better as it can appear on most/all pages).

Alternatively there are many plug-ins that can help you do this, both free and paid.
Some email services have their own specific wordpress plugins too.

WordPress › Optin Revolution: WordPress Popup « WordPress Plugins

I'm checking it out now, but they want you to buy the pro version for $97, but the LITE version is pretty cool. You can integrate Aweber, iContact, Mailchimp, GetResponse, & Constant Contact code even in the LITE to test it out.

      Show Optin Revolution Popup selections
      1. Always
      2. Once per browser session
      3. Once in x Days

Pro allows much more, plus split testing, your own videos, etc. But a little steep for me now price-wise.

There are many plugins that you can install on your wordpress website to put your opt in form code. You will want to make sure that you are sharing something valuable with them or else it will be useless building your own list.

Easiest thing you can do is get the form code from your autoresponder and put it on a text widget.

Another interesting WP plugin is 'Mow Pop' - just Google it, it'll be first in the listings... it's free for one domain. I've played around with several, and this one is really nice.

I'll probably have to pay for it though - I don't like the 'Powered by' notice that they add!

I did find a really cool one today that is free since I was also in the market for one, but I had to make sure it worked well on my site. Some do and some don't. It's called OptinCrusher - optincrusher | The fastest way to build an optin email list in WordPress

I was able to get it working on my site in a unique way because you can add HTML to the Optin location and for the lightbox. Here is my site http://www.affiliatebullets.com You can add a video in the lightbox if you wish as well. I think I'll work on a video and put it in there to help increase optins.

    Enjoy!

Yes there is. GetResponse offers a WordPress plugin for opt-in forms on your blog. Just do a search for "GetResponse" on WordPress.org.

    There's a few ways.

I just add the html code from Aweber to a text widget in my sidebar but there's load of plugins available too if you search for them on wordpress.

If you use Aweber, use html, not the javascript. Copy and paste the html into the sidebars or post/page under text.

Nothing easier than that. Just get the code snippet from your AR company and copy it inside your post or page or add a text widget (copy the code snippet there) to your sidebar.
