How I got Started with Internet Marketing

After browsing the forum for a while and reading a few very helpful posts I've gotten a feel for what this community is about and I feel it's time I share my own experiences.

I hope you find this post informative and useful. I'd love to hear about the experiences you've had and what lessons you've learnt up until now. Life can be a harsh teacher and often gives us the test first and then teaches us the lesson after!


So here's how I got started with internet marketing:

Find your why - then you'll find your how
Back in college I took music. Solely because I enjoyed music. Not because I knew where I wanted to be or what I wanted to do.
It wasn't until after college that I discovered what I wanted to do with my life.

I think this is very important.

I took a job in direct sales and they introduced me to a book that changed my life: Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.
At 18 I held in my hands the book that would change my life forever and open my mind to a new world. A world of freedom, opportunity and of giving to others.

It was then that I knew what I wanted from life.
The ability to spend my time as I wanted. Money to enjoy the luxuries of life and freedom to live life on my terms.

Sound familiar?

A lot of people dream about having this sort of lifestyle but not many people actually take the time to write a plan and take the steps to make it happen.

6 months later I had my own flat and had the time of my life with my friends..
