Fiverr Gig in Signature?

I have been trying to find information on this before I asked - but I couldn't find anything. I am just getting to know the layout of the forum so... apologies in advance if this is redundant!

Is it okay to post our fiverr profiles in our signature here at Warrior?

Thank you. :-)

Never mind. I decided I don't want to put the Fiverr profile in my signature. I read the signature rules again and decided to just stick with my own websites in there.

Oh my gosh! Thank you so much. I was looking all over for that.

There's no info in here, though, that entirely answers my question.

It says no affiliate links but fiverr isn't an affiliate link. Did I miss something?

Note: I just edited the original post. I don't want to do this anymore and am just leaving my own personal websites in the signature.

        Yet?

Fiverr is looking to introduce an affiliate program

It is not against the rules to advertise gigs in your signature. Affiliate links are not allowed but links to your services are allowed.

Very good to know in case I change my mind. Thank you for answering!

As mentioned, this is an assumption until those rules are rewritten to reflect fiverr gigs etc. Most people understand that a fiverr gig is not an affiliate link and therefore I have seen tons of those links and links to other types of pages in a sig.

The rules also say: "Promote Your Own Domain/s Only" of which fiverr or lets say a facebook page etc is clearly not. So I am sure in time it will be updated.

I assume it is allowed because I have seen other people do that and have even ordered a gig from a signature link inside WF.

    Also:
    (5) No Affiliate Links Allowed - Promote Your Own Domain/s Only. It's either this or we have to cut out sig files altogether which we do not want to do.
We have no problem with someone linking to their WSO within their sig.
Proves that Fiverr gigs are allowed; because they are your unique service, just the same way as a WSO is and is not an affiliate offer.

How do those two quotes "prove" anything

I think affiliate links are not allowed but links to your services are allowed.

I initially had my twitter link in my signature, but I took that out after reading the rules. But, I think that's probably okay, too?

I know that they both aren't affiliate links but they also both aren't technically my own website. I think the "put your own website" suggestion in the forum rules is maybe a helpful hint so there's no gray area or confusion?

Thank you everyone for stopping in to help set me straight!

In addition, Warriors will pay more than $5 for the same service out of the Warriors for Hire section.

If you are going to use your WF sig to promote a gig, I would post the Gig in Warriors for Hire at a higher price point and link there instead of fiverr.

There are already warriors who resell services in Warriors for Hire and outsource to fiverr.

You may as well "arbitrage" your own gigs... LOL

Lol thanks for the tip! My Fiverr experiment isn't going to last too long. That's a big reason why it's not going in my sig anymore. I used them a long time ago when the site first started and that didn't last long. The site is fine but there are so many people on it now, it would take a lot of man hours to promote.

Things like your own Squidoo lens (though clearly not "on a site you own") are certainly allowed. I've certainly seen several Fiverr gigs in sig-files here, and I've never seen anyone saying that they're not allowed. I'm not a moderator, but I think it's probably perfectly alright.

Thank you Alexa. I appreciate it. It seems like it is okay - I'm starting to see them now, too, now that I've been looking.

I know what the rules say literally, but Fiverr gigs and Flippa listings have been allowed. This was discussed a long time ago and that is what a mod said. They are not affiliate sites and they sites that you control the page and do business from. It's affiliate sites that are strictly disallowed.

For what it's worth, you can't put a personal or affiliate link in your fiverr gig or product, either. They only let you link to Youtube or Flickr for more information about you.

I'm not sure if they care about what links you put in your Youtube Description.
