How Can I Final Loca Businesses For This?

Hey guys, I sell a physical product that goes well in a particular type of small business with walk-in traffic that is found all over the USA.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a resource that is good for finding gobs of lists of these people, so I can get after emailing/calling these people one-by-one to see if they would like to carry my product?

Thanks for any help!

Does that business sector have their own trade magazine, or do they have an industry association?

It may pay you to advertise in the trade magazine if you can find one. If there is an industry association you may find a membership list. It might even pay you to join the association because that can give you access to membership details.

Ha ha. Yes, she sure is. I've had a loca or two in my time.

ImportExport - I'm not sure on the trade magazine idea, I haven't seen one but I will look into that. Thanks for that idea though!

        Any other ideas?

The manual way about this is to go compile data from yellow pages online or manta.com (or hire an outsourcer to do this for you)

You could also get a piece of software that scrapes lists of relevant businesses to your product if you want to automate the process.

    newspaper business / classified section.
Yahoo and google pages. Gumtree / Craiglist / Kijiiji or whatever that is spelled.

Thanks guys, great idea. This scraper idea is intriguing. I'll look around for something like that. Please feel free to link to one, if anyone wants. Thanks again for the help.

Don't have any personal experience with the scraping tools, but there are plenty of discussions here at the wf about options.

I've been researching scrapers, but kind of lean towards outsourcing the data mining and outreach to our virtual assistant at this point.
