Is it better to have one good page rather than a lot of crappy pages?

I have a review site that has been active for about 2 years now. I have over 1000 reviews to date.
In the beginning, I tried to review a lot of stuff thinking number of posts were important. I used to try and review something everyday. However, only 3-4 out of 1000 reviews make significant amount of money. Actually, 3-4 pages get most of the traffic out of 1000.

Should I slow down and write one really great review and try to get traffic on that one link rather than spending my time just writing reviews?

If I can get 1 million page views on a single page, would that be more profitable than getting 1 million page views spread across my entire site?

From what I see, you need to start targeting your reviews. Don't just go review 'anything', you need to review 'something' that you know is profitable or have the potential to.

Since, you have the 3-4 reviews that are profitable. You should concentrate on creating more of such reviews. You should be able to identify the crucial elements that made these reviews profitable for you.

If, you could get 1 million page views on a single page. Why couldn't you get the same views to every single page ?

    Hope it helps.

    Good luck.

I have another suggestion. First Have you ever tried squeeze pages and buying solo ads? I to used to do review sites and think the more the more sales but that is not the case. I found that a quality squeeze page with paid solo ads creates more sales and more traffic, So see you can have one squeeze page (if it's well made) with no reviews and make more sale and convert at a much higher rate. Also you permanently have them in a sales funnel to promote to them everyday. With review sites you only usually don't have a free offer with opt-in. This is the key to online sales

it's always wise to have more than one client so you have work coming in from different sources. This year was a real roller coaster up until now but I know it will improve.

Adults and kids all get work from varying sources. Instead of trying to get work from those who don't give it, use other means such as classified ads to attract more work for yourself.

I just looked at your site and it's a big mish-mash of random reviews and makes no sense. You literally review anything and everything without any sort theme. This makes no sense. People coming to your site won't have a clue what it is about and will most likely leave because they don't know what's going on.

Focus on whatever is working best for you. 1 million views to a single page vs 1 million to a bunch of pages can vary wildly depending on how well each converts.
