Help! Stupid Wordpress Theme Not Displaying Featured Images

Okay, so I've installed, uninstalled, installed...and unistalled, now installed this wordpress site.

I'm going insane. lol

I've unistalled it from hostgator and deleted the wordpress files so I could have a fresh installation.

The problem is that the theme is not showing the featured images. It only shows the image when you click on it.

here's the site: ecigErette.com-Ecigarette Reviews For Top Brands

Thanks,

Try editing the page files in the editor to see if they are calling proper path URLs for the images. I tried right clicking on one of the images, and clicking open in new tab, and it did not load the image, which means it is not being stored at that location.

I would need to take a look at the pages in editor to be able to help you. If you don't get it fixed by tomorrow, add me on Skype and I will try to help tomorrow AM.

The issue appears to be in the way in which it's called the featured image and attaching it to the URL, it's not pulling up correctly.

okay guys, I think I figured it out.

Everything seems to work fine when I'm not modifying the the wordpress and site address under Settings --> General http://mysite.com

When I change the settings for both Wordpress and the site URL Address to http://www.mysite.com that's when the images begin to disappear.

I'm not adding content using posts, I'm using the proreview theme and these featured images are being added through the theme's section under "reviews".

Ive never had that happen to me. The first thing that comes tomind is that your theme/ theme coding is corrupt.

    Is it a free theme?

    Has it been updated etc?

Maybe you installed a plug in that is messing up the theme functions.

I dont know for sure but I would start there.

    Ryan,

It's not a free theme. This is their latest update.

I think it was working fine until I installed a plug in. I removed the plug in and Since then I've been dealing with this issue.

At this point All I want is a fresh install. I'm using hostgator and they no longer have fantastico deluxe to remove wordpress. Now they have Quick Install but every time I use it to remove wordpress it usually leaves files lingering. Perhaps this is the reason why I keep getting stuck with the same issue every time I try to reinstall.

I usually go to my file manager and delete the WP related folders. I change the permissions to 777 and then delete them. Is there any other place I should look to clean up all traces of worpress?

I also ended up with 3 .thaccess files but I wasn't sure if I should delete them.

My last resort would be to call hostgator and have them reset my entire account.

I really appreciate all your help guys!

Why don't you simply delete all the files in file manager (public_html folder) and start fresh ? to remove htaccess files, you will need to login to FTP using filezilla or similar...
