Affiliate Idea - what do you think?

Hey Warriors,

My team and I were brainstorming yesterday and came up with an idea for affiliates for my product.

The product is a set of Photoshop actions and video tutorials for creating book covers and product covers. Here's the product: eCover Action Scripts - high resolution photoshop action scripts | 10 Minute Photoshop

The idea is that everyone who sells a digital product uses those graphics and when someone is on your sales (especially someone who wants to get into IM), they might be thinking "how do they get those awesome looking graphics".

So the question is: how can set up an ad of our affiliate's pages that basically says "want to make graphics like these? Click here!"

The big obstacle is obviously that since we're just an affiliate product, we don't want to distract the potential buyer from the product he's actually there to buy.

Is there a viable affiliate option here? What are you thoughts?

You would have to use mock cover designs.

Takes a little more work, but probably worth it so it doesn't distract. You could use your own logo and variations thereof. So it keeps branding you in the different examples.

  • You would need to create a step by step action plan for the customers of your product to follow so that once they buy your action scripts and use those covers on their sales pages, they automatically would know to place an affiliate link to your product on let's say, their Download page, or to follow up with their customers via email and mention your product.

You would have to hold their hand and coach them to do this as part of your sales process and Include a pdf, video, emails, affiliate tools etc, for them to use. Note: If your customers are a clickbank or jvzoo affiliate, then your affiliate sign up process with ejunky might be a setback because your potential affiliate now has to go through the steps of creating an ejunky account just to push your product. Something to think about.

P.S. If you fix your spelling here to "Download", you may increase your optins as well.

I'd cookie the visitors of each of your affiliates and build respective lists of IP addresses by affiliate.

I'd then display banners ads to THOSE CAPTURED IP addresses only. The cost should be less than $0.30 CPM.

Use an ad platform like Click Certain to display ads in front of these guys and track their web browsing habits so you know what websites your prospects are visiting and market accordingly on top of your banners.
