3 Clickbank Sales in 500 hops, now 0 sales in 1500 hops

Any of you clickbank pros see numbers like this?

We are using the same method of generating traffic all the way through.

We are approaching 2k hops now and have not seen a sale since the first 500 hops.

It just seems crazy. I would have expected to see a little bit more consistency.

Thanks for any feedback/input you might have.

When you're dealing with very low sale numbers, the variability is absolutely enormous. These are slightly surprising figures. There can be many other reasons for it, of course, but "no sale in 1,500 hops" is actually fairly typical for "non-opted-in" traffic. It's a little surprising (in fact very surprising) that 500 hops should have produced 3 sales before that, if that was also non-subscriber traffic ... but there can be various possible explanations for that, too.

"It depends" is the only short answer that makes any sense, here, really: not possible to start attributing any causes with any confidence, just from the information you've given so far.

Was it all the same traffic source?

This is "clicks on a banner" or something, not subscribers, right?

Does the product have an opt-in on the sale page?

These are among the many questions one would have to start asking to try to make more perceptive/helpful comments.

Thrilled to be graced by your presence Alexa.

This is not "subscribed" traffic. It's an expirement we are doing and it's done in essence, very barbaric, I guess you could call it.

The product does have an opt-in page which I know is a bad choice, this is not a long term strategy, just a little expirement we are doing just to see what happens.

I was pretty shocked to see three sales in 500 in all honesty. When we saw that we started ramping it up to get more of the same traffic just to see if we would get similar stats.

Do our dismay, our numbers have fallen off

      Thanks for your feedback!

Well, you've seen, now. It's surprisingly common, when affiliates start to promote a product with a vendor's opt-in on the sales page, that they make a few sales, and then the sales "just suddenly stop" after a little while. At least we found a possible explanation easily enough.

        Sorry.

I hear you! (I've done many, myself. If it helps/interests you, just over 85% of the ones with a vendor's opt-in on the sales page turned out pretty much like this, or very similar).

Results are relative. Sometimes you'll get 1 clickbank sale for every 75 hops, and then go through a dry spell before you reach your next sales. If you want more predictability, start your own email newsletter and follow up on your leads that way to promote the clickbank product.

I didn't do a special one. I never notice my post-count, to be honest: someone asked me about this when it got to about 20,040 or something, but I hadn't noticed it at the time - sorry.

I'm surprised you made any sales at all off this traffic as these leads are most likely cold.

To make a sale, the buyer needs to be taken through these steps IN ORDER or you're about as likely to make a sale as be elected Pope:

          1. Inform/convince a reader of a problem.
          2. Educate the reader on what the solution is.
          3. Position your product/solution as the logical provider of the solution
          4. Convince the reader on your price/value comparison
          5. Call to action

Whether it's sales letters, email sequences or social media--walk your peeps through the numbers to sales.

            Well Mr. B

I can assure you of this. If I ever get elected Pope we had better all get real concerned because alot more than lightening is surely heading our way.

            Nice bike

            05' heritage softail
            71' shovel

Is that a custom? I can't quite tell.

Oh yeah and thanks for the advice, i'll put some brain power to how I would make that stuff happen. And you are correct, I am sending these people to the product pitch page in the most Neandratal method possible. In essence, like an MMA fighter working a kimora .... I'm sure I spelled that wrong.

Hey... why not try rap bank or jvzoo due to the affiliation on clickbank right now... I had like 30 hoplinks and 2 sales so.... now going to move to jvzoo or rapbank... theres others.. 2 but obviously clickbank was the best to go with... also best thing is to have a redirected script?..... this is what i have to get them on my email list then market to them and give value at the same time .... so even if u don't make that sale.... it will be virtually important for you to capture the lead before they leave your page...

    Kind regards
