Hello people,

I guess this is my first post at the WF. I lurk a lot though here.

I'm trying to register a .mobi domain, but realized that Directnic (where I register all my domains) doesn't offer .mobi domains, who would you recommend? thanks a lot!

NameCheap is one of the most reliable registrars that sells them.

I work with Liz Tomey and she has used GoDaddy.com for years. That's also where I get my domain names from and they do have .mobi extensions. They basically have every extension you can think of.

    I recommend NameCheap.

Having been a product vendor for the last few years and having dealt with over 20,000 customers, I will tell you the biggest issues have always been around those who have domains or hosting with GoDaddy. Almost no one ever has an issue installing or using our products except for those using GoDaddy. It really is a very basic and feature less hosting option and they limit a lot of what you can do with your own hosting.

So although I use Namecheap and would definitely recommend them for domains (and I use Hostgator for my hosting), my biggest tip would be to NOT use GoDaddy for anything. That opinion has been formed from a LOT of personal experience. They target the general public for a reason because experienced marketers won't touch them.
