Alright, I'm taking advice, and I just kicked out 3 articles in 45 minutes!

I just wrote three pretty decent articles in 45 minutes! That's not so bad! It didn't even hurt my head too much. LOL Thanks for everyone's advice that original content is important and I should just buckle down and do it.

The best advice on this forum is to actually leave the forum and go get work done! After each article, I rewarded myself with a couple minutes of surfing here. Then, back to work.

Anyway, a proud-of-herself newb just had to share.

Thanks, all!

This is definitely a great way to get your articles done. I always write them in batches usually at night. And like you I need to take a good break after 3 or 4. Good luck!

Good for you. Now take those three articles and make them work for you. Put the content on your blog or website. Submit them to ezinearticles and through Isnare.com or articlemarketer.com. Use each article as a squidoo lens and link back to your site. Link the squidoo lenses to each other.

Set up 3 blogger blogs, break each article into three 100 to 200 word posts. You should then have 9 posts. Link to your site in each post.

Save the articles and when you have about 5000 words or so organize them into an ebook that you can use as a giveaway to establish a list.

If I submit those same 3 original articles elsewhere, then I'll have duplicate content, won't I? They are only on my blog at this point.

Have you considered getting Dragon? I either use it directly with my computer or use a voice recorder then move it over to my computer.

It is great voice transcription software.

Vista has something similar but found Dragon works much better.

Someone asked me what method I used. Honestly, nothing fancy. I've just been learning a lot here.

    1. I chose topics based on the keywords I thought I could rank for related to my overall website niche.
    2. I searched for existing ezines articles just to do a little research and see what others were writing on those topics.
    3. I wrote my own article, incorporating those ideas, with my own words, my own style, and my own ideas added.
    4. I made sure I had an intro paragraph that mentioned the purpose of the article and why it's important.
    5. I then wrote just a few short paragraphs explaining things.
    6. Lastly, I wrote a closing paragraph.

Of course, the very last sentence was something like, "For more information check out this great e-book.. " or amazon links or whatever affiliate product fit the article best.

Did I do it all right?

I like to think it's my college writing classes finally coming in handy!

and to your question yes they will be duplicates there is away around that though if you hide that page from your robots then you can post it to other places. You can use snipets from the original and rewrite a little and youll be fine.

THERE IS NO DUPLICATE CONTENT PENALTY! Really there isn't as long as you aren't using the same content on the same site to manipulate the search engines.

Duplicate content penalty is a myth as far as articles are concerned
Google penalizes for duplicate content but not in the way that affects articles. The penalty is for the same, or nearly same content, on a website or blog that is used to manipulate the search engines. The same narrative is used on different pages within a website with the only difference being the keyword phrase.

Duplicate content penalty doesn't apply to articles of blog posts. If it did, newspaper syndication companies, like the Associated Press, wouldn't use it.
      Here's what google itself has to say;

Here is what Google says about the penalty.

This is true but if you are placing articles on say hubpages that you wrote for your site first it will call it a duplicate. This then effects your hub score it also will tell you that it will be flagged and deleted. So this is why you need to rewrite them between submiting to article directories. Google actually does have problems with same content and articles. I can not get one of my sites listed there becuase of the maker until I rewrite the entire page.
