2Checkout - Bypass Paypal completly?

After having some recent dramas with Paypal I decided to go for a merchant account with 2Checkout so I could cut out Paypal from the process but still accept payments from people who used Paypal.

I was recommended to 2Checkout by a Warrior here

So far I have been very happy with their service. You get a 1 on 1 support assistance. The process payments every week.

They have loads of measures in place to stop fraud and they hold a small amount of your earnings to prevent chargebacks from customers

What are your thoughts on working with 2Checkout and how are you getting on?

After chatting with you on Skype I took a quick look at their service and I must say I am impressed. A lot of changes have been made since I last remember 2Checkout. I'm going to sign up and try it out as well.

      Yeah enjoyed our chat earlier!

Its a good alternative and always good to have a backup source.

Its a little bit more complicated to get your head around but once you do its great!

They are pretty fast at approving too. I got approved same day and customer service is fab!

If you aren't accepting paypal you are likely missing out on some sales. But to each their own.

      Thats the beauty of 2Checkout

You can accept Paypal payments without having to use your Paypal account.

You can also accept 8 other forms of payment so not just limited to Paypals methods.

Paypal has became very sophisticated. It is very impossible to bypass it. There are many who were trying that before but even in an attempt they really failed.

No, I don't have PayPal, but I use 2CO to bypass PayPal without any issue at least now.

This thread is not about bypassing PayPal; it's about using it legally and professionally in a different way.

The difficulty can be that some payment acceptance systems or checkout systems that work with PayPal often require the potential customer (buyer) to fill in so many personal details before they buy, that they simply click off the page and the vender loses a purchase and customer.

If you can use PayPal directly, then do so - it's the best option. If you are restricted by PayPal, or feel threatened by them, then go via a third party.

      Horses for courses.

      Just my thoughts,

      Jeff.

2Checkout requires an application fee, plus they charge 5.5% + $0.45 per transaction for non-us residence. Not to mention 2Checkout has their own disgruntled customers, just like PayPal...

    Hi Fitmarketer,

Just out of curiousity, are you selling in the internet marketing/make money niche? I've been thinking about using 2CO too, but I'm not sure their TOS is friendly towards internet marketers.

    Can you confirm?

Just to be clear about something... The term Internet Marketers doesn't mean you are in the Make Money niche. People who have weight loss products, relationship products, gardening products are all internet marketers.

I thought something that simple was a given, but anyway; What I was asking about was purely MMO products. Does 2CO take kindly to these kind of products?

Apparently not because when you made this statement "I'm not sure their TOS is friendly towards internet marketers." it leads me to believe you associated Internet Marketers with MMO niche, which clearly is not the case, hence for my response earlier....

Because if their TOS is not internet marketer friendly then who is using their service because everyone who partakes in marketing on the internet is an internet marketer regardless of the niche.

I'm not interested in arguing semantics. I've already made it clear now, that I'm referring to MMO products. Are you going to keep labouring this point home? Does it make you feel superior?

I asked a question about MMO products on 2CO.

They're already responsible for that. No need to pay more than 2CO required!

I asked a question about MMO products on 2CO.
They are very strict about Make Money Online related products.
Therefore, MMO related products won't most likely be permitted.
Just submit the products for clarification with them.

2CO is friendly for Internet Marketors but not for the Internet Marketors who sold Affiliate Products/Services whose aren't yours, MMO or Get Rich products/services.

Yes you won't have to pay any extra fees for paypal customers just the standard 2CO per sale.

Yes they are friendly for internet marketers if you are selling a service or a product.

You can have affilaites for your offers also through their system and promote other 2CO users products if you want to promote affiliate offers.

                Hope this helps

I prefer Paypal over 2CO. PP it's much easier to use, their support is great and you can use it to pay almost everywhere online.
