How to build list for building traffic

I am learning IM for few days.
Can anybody clarify details how i can build list and use it for increasing traffic?

    Hi hsbinmarket, if you don't have a list right now, you actually need to drive traffic to your opt-in pages to build that list...

    So your focus first should be to drive traffic to your opt-in pages. The fastest and easiest way is to look up other bloggers and list owners in your niche (using google), and contact the owners to see if they will blog about your site and send out a newsletter to their list about your site...

    You can pay them $10-$20 one time fee to do this as well.

    Other great tactics involve using Facebook Fanpages and then driving those people into your email list. Facebook advertising is cheap if you're driving traffic to your fanpage.

      I have facebook account. Is it possible to use as fanpage or I need to open another account?
      Actually I am not familiar with facebook fanpage.

    The idea of building a list isn't to use it for increasing traffic. The list is formed from the traffic, by opting in a proportion of visitors, to enable you to build relationships with them, establish credibility with them, and get them to trust and respect you ... so that when you recommend products to them by email, some are willing to buy them on the strength of your recommendation.

    ive recently been experimenting with coreg leads.
    opt-intelligence.com seem pretty good.
    pay them around 0.40 per lead which i dont think is too bad.
    bear in mind that is per lead and not per click like with facebook and google

    Have a look around for free traffic generation threads on here, there many of them. Then build a squeeze page, install aweber and start lining up your autoresponder emails. Best of luck to you.

    Hi,

    Create yourself a list, a squeeze page, some sort of offer (or bribe as we also like to call it), and get people to opt-in to your list.

    If you want to use this list to drive traffic to your site, you can include links in your e-mails that point to your blog for example.

    You can also include links to other helpful things that you find out. One word of warning, don't recommend something just because it's new, and has a good payout. Promote it only if you have some knowledge of it working, ideally, that you use it day to day yourself.

    If you are an affiliate of the products that you use and recommend, and someone from your list buys, you get paid.

    If someone gets sent to your blog, you will have to convince them from there to purchase instead.

    You’d better start slowly and build email list over time. Focus on getting the best quality leads on your email list and then let the numbers grow as your business grows. You can start building your list from the visitors to your site, your social media outlet, websites that have similar user demographics, etc.
