Hey Winson,

Personally myself, I utilize JVManager 1 for the exact purposes you've stated above. It has the ability to run protected membership site sections and automate the generated username and passwords for all sign ups.

You can also use it to create different membership levels such as free, monthly paid, yearly paid, lifetime paid, etc.

And also sell single products right along side any memberships you set up.

JVM1 is a very affordable solution that is versatile enough to do what you need. However, there are limits on what payment processors work with it. It does work with PayPal, ClickBank, and a couple others.

I have an easy easy answer for you.... Stu Mclaren's wishlist member wordpress plugin. You can do so much with WP and with his WP member plugin its just plain sick. I have it and use it.....

I agree with Jay! Of course, Jay is the guy who personally showed wishlist member to me in the first place. But that shouldn't stop it because it is truly worth it!

Wilson,

A growing number of marketers are doing this with WordPress as the CMS and WishList Member plug-in to handle the membership privileges.

You can also use Amember, DLGuard, and RAP Membership Plus Bundle.

But beyond all of that even, you can actually build a functional membership site using nothing more than Wordpress and your existing autoresponder.

The key is to get the offer up and get eyeballs on it -- to "fail fast" so to speak.

If the offer flops completely, you haven't wasted a month trying to build out some mega membership site full of stuff no one wants or ever sees.

If the offer shows promise, you can easily bolt-on many of the options mentioned above to improve the site and make your life easier managing and promoting it.

You can set up CB to forward the customers name, etc, to your thank you page. From there, with php you could insert their data directly into your user database before displaying the thankyou page.

But, the core of any Membership site is turning the User into Affiliate, and I don't think the WishList member plugin has a built in affiliate system. That is a big downside to the plugin if it does not have one.

Hi

I run several membership sites and have settled on 2 scripts.

1. InstantMember.com
2. Member-Fire.com

Instant Member is about $200 if I remember correctly and your license is good for one website. It's the superior script of the two, but I mostly use MemberFire because it's so easy to use. It costs about $50 and you can use it on unlimited sites.

it depends on your requirement and marketing strategy

if you need the content to be delivered on scheduled basis to prevent members downloading the whole content and unsubscribe
then you can have easymemberpro and launchformulamarketing

there are different levels of membership available

the cheapest and lowest cost membership site is of course password protect a folder in your host

there are many decent membership site scripts that you can choose from, which should not cause you headache
what makes a membership site successful is your marketing strategy and how well you can keep your customers happy to subscribe as long as they can

If you want to "drip feed" your content on a schedule - to prevent customers downloading everything and unsubscribing - just deliver it through a sequential autoresponder.

You can either deliver the content itself through the autoresponder, or, if it is video or audio, you can simply send out a link to a password protected part of your website, using a different password protected directory for each months/weeks content; along with the password of course

Well All the above programs will get the job done what you need is something that would be able to scale up as you grow your business.

My recommendation is get aMember ( to manage the users) then Wordpress for the content management.

If you like I can set up the whole system up for you this would include the sales copy, graphics, sales process(up sells, down sells, cross sells) and content management.

All you need to do is create the products to be added to the site and I will take care of the rest.

what makes me qualified to create membership sites ?

The EMP site is very professional, their example site is impressive and their support looks to be pretty good. Do you plan to use the Affiliate features of EMP? How simple was it to install? What membership models are you going to focus on with EMP?

Yeah, one of the purpose I purchase EMS is because it support the affiliate as well. Installation is pretty easy, and upload the script and it's 95% done! took me less than 1 hour to finish the installation. The customer support I would say is excellent for me so far.

I'm going to use the membership for the third backlinks package after Angela and Paul, but my membership site will get a much lower cost for WSO member. If anyone are interested for a review of it, just send me a pm and I will take note of your warriorforum.

Once it's launch, I will contact those who are interested in the membership reviews.
