Can't target specific facebook pages?

There's certain pages (my niche is sports, health and fitness) that I can't target when I search for them when designing an ad. Anyone know why? These aren't small groups either. Some of them have 50,000 plus subscribers and more. I'm talking big pages like Nike Basketball. I go to search for them and they don't appear.

Any help?

    It's hit and miss. They don't let you target all pages unfortunately. Some they do, some they don't. I've never understood why.

    There are tools around though that allow you to mine the Facebook ID's of members in certain pages or groups. You can then create a custom audience using those Facebook ID's and target that audience in your ad. This is the better way of doing it.

    Yeah I've noticed this too. There's some really big pages I'd like to target but the option is just not there. Quite frustrating.

      Yep, WillR is correct. I have also had this problem. Pisses me off! I have tried to find a good way around it without much success. You could mine the ids as WillR suggested and this method is pretty good if you want to put out the effort. I'd be a bit careful with doing this though. All the best....
