do you have experience in split testing squeeze pages?

hello fellow warriors,

just want to ask a quick question to experts here.

i've setup a few squeeze pages (using OptimizePress) and would like to split test against each other.

i went through the OP tutorial and the video showed how to do it with google website optimizer (which no longer available as a standalone product).

may i know is there a better way to split test my squeeze pages

You can use some tracking tool like Adtarckz Gold..they have option to split test your squeeze pages, sales pages, etc

    Hey orebian,

Here's a list of tools that are designed for testing, optimizing and converting

    Visualwebsiteoptimizer
    Optimizely
    Crazyegg
    kissmetrics

They do cost money but I'm pretty sure they all offer free trials. Try em out and see if they are for you.

theres also a warrior service called improvely that popped up, im meaning to check it out and compare it with vwo and kissmetrics.

Just some general advice when testing... only change one thing. It can be your traffic source, the headline, bullet point, layout of the page. But if you change more than one thing, you won't really know what led to the difference in your results and your split test will be less useful.

You can use a free Wordpress plugin called MaxA/B to run simple split tests, much less confusing and complicated than Google Analytics (you can run split test experiments here now).

To begin with I like to test 4 wildly different pages and see which one comes out on top then create 3 more similar copies of that one with slight changes and progress from there.

Awesome method, thanks so much. How long do you usually run these tests for - or do you base it on traffic?

      Regards

Ya I use adtrackz gold works great for me. I know KISSMETRICS has a tool for split-testing as well.

  • I really love Visual Website Optimizer. There is no coding required, and you can create test in minutes. The software is not free though, but you can try it for 30 days which can be more than enough to run a test.

You'd want to run at least 1,000 visitors through the test. The more people the more reliable the test.
