Does this plan sound right

I am working on getting my first squeeze page going. I already have a review site up for the niche but wanted to avoid sending people right to the review page without getting their email first.

My plan was get them to the squeeze page where i give a way a free course, then after they opt in redirect to the review page.

Is that a bad idea and to pushy.

i also have a blog set up for the niche and could send them there as well.

It is in the weight loss niche.

The answer to that question lies in the MWR (most wanted response) that you have for each visitor.

Do you want their email address?

Or do you want them to read the review site and take some action there?

Or both - but which is most important?

When you have sorted out the priorities of your business-driven goals, the way forward with regard to your site structure should be clear.

both would be nice, but i am on the fence if it to presumptuous of me to send them right to a review site.

I am worried it will effect my credibility sending them right to a review page.

But it could also cost me money as well!

I guess i am thinking it is bad to try and get their email address fro long term profits and also trying to get a quick sale from them after opting in.

Any other opinions are appreciated greatly!

I do have a tendency to over think things!!!!!

Mate - it's just a numbers game. Focus on your business goals rather than the sentimenalities of some of your visitors. Whatever way you do it, some people would have preferred if you had done it a different way.

It's a numbers game, no more, no less. It's vital to have a crystal clear idea of the path you want an individual vistor to take and tweak every pixel on your site to make it happen that way.

Too many or unclear choices mean lost conversions.

Just make a decision and go with it. If some don't like it you can guarantee they will spend less time worrying about it than you do!

Make your decision and do IT

One last question, should i sell to the list every email or every third email or so.There has to be a basic rule of thumb for that one.

captive, don't start a blog until you have people to send there. Instead, focus on building your newsletter readers which you can then send to your blog, when you want them to read your articles/blog posts.

    Hi Captivereef,

    Different lists are responsive in
    different ways.

Where one guy may get great
    results selling them every single
email, someone else may do better
with every 3rd or 4th day or
    whatever.

It all depends on the niche, the
people on the list, and the relationship
    you cultivate with them.

A good rule of thumb if it's your
first list is to try and deliver them
    some value first.

But not too much... if they get
too much free stuff from you,
    they may turn unresponsive
when you ask them to reach
    for their wallets.

Just test it out, and don't
    worry too much, it's just
    a learning process.
