Live Support Module Recommendations

Hey people,

I'm looking to implement a live chat support system on to my PHP based website. I have zero history with live chat support systems and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations.

I'm definitely willing to pay a decent amount for a customizable one that I could change the designs on etc.

Thanks!
Brandon

There are a lot of these out there many are free or can be had for a nominal cost, there was a WSO on this a few years ago, on how to setup it up and use free solutions, I just did a google search and found tons of this stuff, from monthly to a one time cost.

Chat support is an interesting thing, it can really eat up server CPU, depending on the system and how many concurrent users you have.

For the most part the average internet user are introvert's probably as high as 80 percent or more in certain market segments.

Meaning you might be like the maytag guy...

Thanks Tim for the insight. Been researching for the past hour now and yes there seems to be many options. Zendesk looks pretty cool as it offers live chat support, ticket support and a forum knowledge base as well. At first I was thinking just live support but if I can bundle this altogether, this may be a good option.

Has anyone had any experience with Zendesk? How could I integrate Zendesk to my PHP website so that users can just login to my site and have full access to support vs. having to sign up separately for support?

    Thanks!

https://www.zopim.com/ Seems like a good choice. Now I'm debating whether I should go for live chat only or just go all out and offer live chat + full ticketing support + knowledge base center.

Zopim - $14/month vs Zendesk $24/month if paid annually.

Anyone else here have experience with Zendesk? I can't seem to find a demo of there live chat.

I suggest you to choose a vendor which can provide live chat, ticketing support and knowledge base. The integration of three customer service tools will greatly improve your customer satisfaction and improve customers.

    Thanks smileverse,

I'm definitely leaning towards Zendesk. I tried to email them regarding an integration question and haven't got a response yet.

Has anyone else tried Zendesk here? Does anyone know if I can fully integrate the system on to my PHP site so that when users login to my site, they can automatically have full access to support instead of having to double login/sign up for support?

nationsubmit, LiveZilla looks great as well for a Live Chat/Email support system. The added ticket system and knowledge base section of Zendesk is making me lean towards it though
