Squeeze Page versus Sales Page

Hi,

I'm planning on putting my squeeze page on my URL - www.mydomain.com. Where do I place the sales page? Will any sub domain do? And if I place it in a sub domain, does it mean that all traffic needs to first go through the squeeze page to reach the sales page?

If I am testing my site with and without a squeeze page, how do I bring traffic to the sales page if it is in a subdomain in the second option without a squeeze page. Won't the URL with a subdomain be tacky?

Advice would be most appreciated.

    Hi Viks

You can do this in different options.

If you want the squeeze page to be in your root domain
like "mysite.com" you could create a folder like "mysite.com/main"
and use it for your sales page, uploading the index in to this folder.

What I will do if this is my site are like this:

Use the root for the sales page "mysite.com"
and put the squeeze page in a folder like
    "mysite.com/squeeze".
For me it looks better but is a question of taste.

    Hope this helps.

Yu dont need to create a subdomain. Just add a new page if you're using wordpress.. Change the url, so it will be yourdomain.com/squeeze-page and yourdomain.com/salespage

It's entirely up to you. You can put the sales page under a subdomain or simply an internal page. Or you can even make your homepage as your sales page and your internal page as your squeeze page. That is what I have done.
