Forum signature marketing: Static or Rotating

I noticed that some marketers here periodically swap out their SIG images. Others use 1 image and keep it forever. What possible advantages are there to keeping your sig static? What about constant swapping? How does this impact branding? What impact would it have on message consistency or forum content branding?

It's possible that the ones who swap out their SIG images may have multiple offerings/messages that they're rotating.

    Ad blindness.

The same reason an ad on Facebook will get less and less effective as time goes on. People have seen the ad over and over and start ignoring it. Same thing happens with banners ads anywhere the audience is a regular one -- such as on this forum.

So changing up your banner ad, even if it's for the same offer, can shed new light on an old offer. It certainly can't hurt. I change mine up all the time.

It depends on ur no. of business and the availability of traffic.
If u have more than one business, u may change the signature and add that one which needs more traffic.

I u have only one business, U may keep it forever.

    Hope its clear!!!!!!

Do not put the links to a malware-infected site back in your signature

just a quick add to the already awesome points. The Sig links are No follow, so there is no SEO value in the sigs apart from promoting services to other forum members. If you could use them for SEO then perhaps there would be a slightly different aspect in their behaviour.

I noticed the same thing. I figured people are doing what I have been doing; testing. See which signature/image converts the best.

So all these people admit they are here only to promote their signatures.....

Forum signature images look bad and it seems you want the reader to look at them instead of reading the information here.

    PS. Just my personal opinion...

Which probably explains why your signature doesn't link to anything- an intentional dead link?
