Using Windows on a Mac

Hi, I am new to the forums so i'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this (please excuse me).

I am fairly new to internet marketing, SEO etc. and I had a question which I didn't manage to find the best answer for.

It seems to me that most of the good SEO and other neat tools to assist your campaign are for WINDOWS only. For those of you that own a mac (as do I), what do you do in regards to such tools?

Do you bootcomp your mac so you can use windows? Do you use a VPS (don't even really know what this is haha) or do you use some other program like Parallels or VMware fusion? Or did you just go out and buy a PC altogether?

Anticipating your replies!

I loaded windows on a Mac (dualboot) and it sucked. I didn't like how slow it was, or using a mac keyboard for windows, or that not all the functions worked properly. VMWare was also slow, but worked in a pinch.

When I say slow--I was running 2008 MacBook pro and hated that it didn't work at native speeds.

Almost everything I need for SEO works on Mac, nowadays. I know there's a ton of (non spammy) customization stuff you can do for SEO on Windows though.

Scrapebox is the only thing I can't find an exact Mac replacement for (link comparison, etc.)

VMware fusion worked the best for me.

    All the best.

I use bootcamp, but there are less and less useful tools for SEO out there that are not Mac compatible.

I use Boot Camp to switch between OS X and Windows and it works just perfect. If you want to run Windows inside OS X you should try VMWare or other virtualization software.

Boot Camp is a software by Apple that you use to partition your hard disk and install Windows on your Mac computer for dual booting, just like a Windows computer. It also includes Mac drivers for Windows, so your keyboard, mouse and integrated devices will work properly without a hassle. It is as stable as a PC.

Current Apple computers can install Windows XP/7/etc, and can be run standalone just like Mac OS.

Another choice is to install a virual machine software, such as Vmware or Virtual PC, then install Windows in it. This way you can use two OSs concurrently.
