How Can I Monetize A Blog About The NFL?

Everyone says that you should get involved with a niche that you are passionate about or know about. I am a die hard NFL fan and I would like to create a hosted word press blog tailored around the NFL. I am not trying to be a reporter that's what ESPN is for. I want to blog about how I fill about issues and certain players in the NFL My main question is how should I promote affiliate offers on the blog? Use some cpa or sign up for adsense.

    Just a few ideas to monetize:

    1. Banner adds to NFLshop and/or ESPN shop (affiliate income)
    2. Sell links/blog posts once you have traffic
    3. Attach a store and dropship NFL products to customers

    You can also get an affiliate link to sites that sell tickets for NFL games.

    Same goes for NFL memrobilia.

    I would send them all to Amazon as an affiliate. There is tons of NFL stuff there plus many of the people will already have an amazon account so you will get credit for anything else that they buy. If you can get an ebay partner network account then if you send them to ebay you get great for a 30 day cookie which is very good. It harder to get an account there but its really worth it. They have tons of autographed stuff for sale on ebay so it would work perfectly.

    As long as you're generating a decent amount of monthly traffic you can do pretty well allowing others to advertise on your site.

    This would be a good way to figure out what your readers are most interested in and then you can either come up with your own offer targeted to that interest or focus only on promoting affiliate offers of that type.
