kindle KDP

KDP - is it really any good?

somebody told me getting verified purchased reviews first are the best idea. so is this a good strategy

1. publish book asap
2. let reviewers ( family friends associates) know about publish date
3. forget KDP

    Well, you want to get a lot of sales right away. That way you are in the top ten for your niche and people will see you. Also, you need a lot of good reviews. Hope that you are placed in the "Hot New Releases" area. It leads to more exposure. Actually, it means more sales for you. Please make sure that relatives wait at least one day after they buy the book to give you a review.

      I still use KDP Select because of the extra revenue from borrows. But if you plan on selling your ebook on other platforms such as Barnes and Noble or Apple (which can be very lucrative), there is no point using KDP Select because it won't be as profitable (if you use KDP Select, you can't sell your ebook on other platforms).
