What should I do with this domain?

Hi,
I just needed an opinion from everyone.
A few months ago I purchased a domain name.Well I actually did my research after I got the domain, since I was very new to domain buying. Now this domain is a .us domain. Its very catchy and just has 2 words in it.
The problem with this domain is that it shows PR 9.I know that it is a fake PR.
I just want to develop the site, put unique content on it,drive traffic and flip the site. But on Flippa it still shows PR9.
I don't want to deceive anyone,so I am hesitant to do anything with it.
I have no idea where the site is linking to to get that high PR.I checked info:domainname on google, nothing comes up.I don't know how to remove this high PR from the domain,I waited 2 months yet it shows the same PR.
Should I mention that the PR may be fake in my sales letter at flippa?
What should I really do with this domain.
I am not sure if I can give the domain name here?
Please advice

If I were you, I'll just continue. I think once there will be an update with the algorithm it will be on it's real PR. Just continue building the website and if you have done it great no one will question your PR.

A prior owner may have faked the PR in his attempts to sell the domain/site. It's very common. The thing about Flippa is that the buyers have more money than brains. PR tends to mean a lot to them, so it's something they'll be looking at closely. You don't want to risk tarnishing your name being connected to a fake PR domain. I would probably just 404 the domain for six months or a year or whatever and wait for the shady activity to clear out of the system.

I guess you are right..I am planning to sell on flippa, and I certainly don't want a bad name for selling a fake PR.
How do I 404 the domain?

If you think the domain has [potential, develop it. If not, then throw it away. fake PR is not a big deal as it will go back to zero in no time...

You should wait until the next Google Pagerank update... or you will probably receive some nasty comments on the Flippa listing page that will kill your auction.

You should also remove any bot redirection that caused the fake pagerank to show.

Would be easier to help if you reveal the domain name in question.
