Need your opinion! How to segment list

I have a website targeted to moms with a lot of contents related to parenting & family. I'm thinking of promoting the site through PPC and create different ads for different interest, i.e. parenting, health, etc and capture visitor's emails.

Should I create separate autoresponder series for each interest? Or can I group them together so I can cross promote down the road?

My thought is although someone sign up through health ads, she may also be interested in health or maybe cooking products.

What do you think?

I use separate list creation out of one general list. It works great for filtering interests.

So you segment them AFTER they subscribe? What do you use to trigger the split. i.e. clicking link, buy something, etc?

I segment my lists by interest area so that I get a closer
      message-to-subscriber match for my e-mails.

If you have a woman who is interested in health they may
(or may not) be highly interested in cooking too. Therefore,
I'd recommend having list segments, e.g. one for health
      and another one for cooking.

However, how you segment your lists, really depends
upon the autoresponder system that you're using.

Some autoresponder systems are easier to finely segment
      lists with than others.

      Dedicated to mutual success,

So then I only talk about health in the health list and only talk about cooking in the other? I'm writing autoresponder series for the list and no broadcast.

I'm using arpReach which is great so far because it allows categories, etc for segmentation.

You can have custom fields while capturing the leads. You can use that field to segment the list latter

I send them general content. They can then self-filter based on the general content. Example: If you want to make money doing XXXX send an email to (DIRECT AWEBER address for filter list) for the email tutorial series.
