I've been having trouble doing this for the longest. I need help trying to add an opt-in box to my website. My hosting is through Hostgator and I do have cpanel, I made my website using xsitepro v2. Can any one help me or point me in in the right direction?

Thanks,
#optin

My site is not done yet I didn't want to publish it without the opt-in. I already have an auto responder through cpanel. I just don't know how to go about getting a code for the opt-in box

The default autoresponeder in Cpanel is a "vacation reply"
type thing - just sends one email when people email your
mailbox. It is not a sequential thing with an opt-in form.

I recommend GetResponse. If you want to run your own
you might want to try Infinite Responder - free and works
well but has some issues and no real support.

Do these sites also come with the actual code for the opt-in box where the customer would put their email address?

Yes they do come with the code for your page or opt in page. Any of the auto responder services will provide it. All you have to do is drop the code where you want it on your page.

It is not quiet as simple as that but you get the idea, All of the services, like Aweber or Getresponse have good tutorials to help you get it set up.

You just have to dive in and learn.
