I'm designing my first wordpress eCommerce website for a client and she really likes the theme Mountain Creek Mountain Creek

Is there a way to to use that theme with an ecommerece store? Her store is going to sell rustic cabin type stuff maybe 25-50 items. Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks

I'm not a website designer or programmer but I would just more the navigation bar vertically across the top of the photo. Then use the space where the text "Welcome to Mountain Creek" is to advertise "featured" and "new" products. It looks like it could be a very good ecommerce theme for that type of store.

Now as far as how to do it. No clue.

Yes, you can add eCommerce to this very easily and you have several options for getting this done.

If she only has a limited number of products, just add the products to the desired pages / locations via the "Buy Now" buttons provided by the shopping cart software.

If she has a lot of products, you could consider placing the storefront on a sub-domain of this site so you can keep all the site functionality and get all the storefront functionality - best of both worlds.

3rd option is to show the eCommerce software people this theme and tell them to match it as a custom theme in their software. Something like this is approximately $500 to $750 for the custom work.

      Third option is very expensive!!

We're only going to be selling a small amount of items so I'm thinking about adding the products via the "buy now" method Tom Reed explained. Can anyone recommend a couple shopping cart programs that would work well with what I'm trying to do now.
Thanks guys! this forum has been a blessing!

I just found this review of theme "Mountain Resort" Mountain Creek WordPress Theme Review

Its not W3C Compliant - HTML or CSS. And it failed pretty bad in most of the SEO test results. Is this the one I should still use?

I just installed WooCommerce and its telling me, your theme doesn't declare WooCommerce support. Is this something I can work around or is it just gonna be to problematic?

The theme is probably not the best theme for ecommerce. I'd choose a woocommerce theme and just use the hardwood background as on that theme and any other color changes needed to give it the same look and feel as that theme. Not hard to do.

You can definitely make that skin by using the layout and images, but creating it under a wordpress skin. I'd advise taking a look at Genesis. It is highly customization.
