Amazon Affiliate Links - Product or Search Results

Hi,

I know this question was asked a few times before, however none that I found were in the context that I'm interested in.

I have a review website in a niche where the products come in different varieties. Say that the product is a specific Hard Drive model (just an example), which is available in different storage sizes: 200, 400, 600, 800 and 1,000 GBs. The drive is exactly the same, so there is absolutely no reason to review each of the storage capacities separately - it's just one review, and within the specs of the review the user is informed that this drive is available in the above storage capacities.

Now, when a user is clicking my affiliate link, I have no real idea which storage capacity he is interested in. I only know that he is interested in this particular drive model. In this case, which of the two would you do:

1) have the affiliate link point towards the product page of one of the storage capacities (say the 400 GB version), and hope that if the user is interested in a different storage capacity then they will find it themselves by following different Amazon internal links, or

2) Link to an Amazon search results page which has been tailored to only show the hard drive in question in the various available storage capacities.

Which of the two would you say is the better option, or is there perhaps a third option I'm missing?

Thanks

I prefer to use search results. It gives more options to the buyer. I´ve seen better conversion rates using search results.

    Cheers
