Anyone know of a good PDF converter?

I tried using an online PDF converter, but it royally messed up my layout.

I'm using Open Office for the word processor and would like to turn it into PDF without losing any placement of pictures, font, and text.

Any suggestionssss???? Love you guys...

You can use the free version or the pro version they work great.

Lately the last time I updated my adobe pdf reader it came with s converter install into it so may be that will also work for you.

Yeah, doesn't open office have a built in function to save your document as a pdf? Check under File -> export as PDF

PDF Converter Professional Version. I have been using it for many years now and it works great. You can convert documents to pdf, merge several pdf docs, delete pages, add comment boxes, etc. It works great. It costs around $60 bucks but you will get many years out of it.

Open your document in OpenOffice as normal. Click File, then click "Export as PDF".

In my opinion, anyone who is serious about making PDFs, especially for creating downloadable products, should just swallow hard and spend the money on real Aobe products.

another vote for openoffice .. you can do a lot of stuff with free software on linux
and linux is as easy as abc now with new MINT etc

I usually use Free Online PDF Converter, Batch Convert DOC to PDF, PDF/A or Image, Doc Converter. because i prefer not to download software.

Have you tried Nuance? it is fully featured and can convert to PDF and from PDF to any office document (editable). It really saved me once. PDF - Convert to PDF | PDF Solutions for Business Professionals - Nuance

  I had a similar situation. Had to convert from pdf to text. It was a difficult conversion due to difficult formatting. Nitro was the winning ticket.
  
  I tried a few paid options, but Nitro delivered the best. And it's free.

I feel that PDF24 is the best for offline usage.

For online conversion, I've been using convertonlinefree.com for a few months now, before I started IM. Despite their unprofessional site design, their script is pretty powerful.
