New to Forum and Need Advice Selling Current Online Business

Hi everyone, I just joined the forum today and looking forward to getting good advice and giving some back.

For starters, I'm here because I've decided to transition from my career and needed some advice.

I have been in the mortgage industry for the past 10 years and about a month ago, we broke up.

With that being said, the way that I generated all of my leads was through a series of websites that I created a while back and has been working just fine.

Each year, all of them combined have made me $75k+ and now I am wanting to sell this off in a way that I can get passive income and continue to monetize what I built while getting into other online businesses that interest me much more.

I was thinking of making it a monthly subscription status and sell the leads (avg of 5 per day) I get to an account (individual or company). I don't want to resell them to more than one account because I want to keep the quality since they are exclusive.

Any tips/advice/ideas on how I can maximize this so I can get moving to the next step in my career?

Thanks!

Look into CPA networks. You may find offers for exactly what you are generating.

Please pardon my ignorance, but how does that work? Talk to me like I'm 5.

CPA = Cost per action. Some of the actions are opt-ins in various categories. So, you may find a company that will pay you per lead for the exact type of leads you are generating.

Check out Odigger.com for the big CPA networks.

There are certain sites that sell targeted traffic. You should look into that.

Could you not just come to an arrangement with a colleague or someone else in your field to buy the leads from you? If you could set up an agreement and sign a contract, then you could set the site up to forward all new leads to the new buyer and also forward a copy of each lead form to yourself. Then at the end of every week/month you could invoice them for the pre agreed cost per lead.

That's what I'd look to do anyway, if I've misunderstood how this system then please tell me more.

@RogueOne Thank you for the info and the recommendation.

@RockNRolla I am thinking of going that route, but haven't really prospected for it. There isn't enough reliability in the industry which is my hesitation on doing a per lead basis. Either monthly subscription or something else.
