I just got started online and I need ideas on getting quality free traffic to my new website. (my first as IM)

This seems to be a question that pops up often and the search function of the forum will help quite a bit. Search for:

Article Syndication
Traffic Exchanges
Blog Commenting
Guest Blog Posting
Free Traffic Methods
Classified Ad Posting
Social Media Advertising

These should help you find threads already written about the methods. I also recommend joining the War Room as there's tons of valuable information in there to help.

Create a Facebook Fan page about your business and post there your articles’ links. It’s easy to get Likes if you post regularly.

Later you can use Facebook ads in combination with your fan page to drive traffic to your website.

First do some keyword research. What do your targetgroup want and what keywords do they use?

The more related and detailed you can get them the better. You want them to take certain action when they get to your site.

After that is done pick a free method you would like based on those keywords.
