Did Warrior Forum Dropped Signatures?

I've been away from WF for a few years. You used to be able to make your signature visible to outside world.

Was this feature disabled? I can't seem to see anybody's signature, and I can't seem to read anywhere about it being disallowed?

If you can't see signatures, that's almost certainly because the option to see them is disabled in your profile. Click on "User CP" - near the top left of any page here - and then on "Edit Options" in the drop-down menu. Then on the next page scroll down to the part headed "Thread Display Options" and check the box marked "Display signature files". Then scroll to the bottom of that page and click the "save changes" button. That should fix it.

I was having the same problem (never said anything about it) and this resolved it. Thanks.

Signatures are no longer displayed in the WSO forum. Yours is showing up just fine out here in the main forum.

    CDarklock,

Thanks, it was my settings as Alexa suggested.

I can't remember disabling it. Did they disable it by default for everybody? Perhaps I just forgot.

It feels like WF changed a lot in the year that I was away. They are charing now for new users. I wonder if that is beginning of the end.

Hardly. People who want to exchange ideas and find info are doing fine. It's the bots, autoposters, scrapers, and drive by spammers that are blocked due to the $10 charge.

I'm not sure about for everybody, but as far I can tell, every new account has signatures disabled by default.

        Believing otherwise would be unrealistic.

Because those of us who were still coming here during the last year saw it happening. Some days people would sign up for five or more fake accounts through proxies to spam the forum with accusations against specific members. Ban one account, they open another.

Charge $10 to open that account and the problem disappears. Lots of people will waste six hours of their life to harass somebody. Hardly anyone will spend $50.

I think it's quite beneficial that they started charging the $10 fee. That means only serious warriors would now join the forums. And the War Room is a no-brainer so why not get that?

Yep. Good idea to charge the $10 fee to keep the spammers at bay as much as poss.

I agree the fee actually makes it more worthwhile to be on here as its cuts down the rubbish and if you are serious about IM etc $10 isn't a lot to pay to sign up, what you get when you are inside in hints tips offers, advice etc makes that $10 great value for money

Don't worry, your signature is still visible for anyone, if you want to include an image, you can do it by paying a fee, hope that helps.

Maybe I shouldn't post this, but there was a $10 fee one night a month ago when I came to sign up, but I didn't have anything nearby to pay with so I figured I'd come back. When I came back a few weeks later it didn't ask me to pay a fee.

That $10 fee was discontinued a few weeks ago.

When I joined the WF waaaaaaaaaay back in 2004, you had to pay to join, it certainly didn't stop anyone then so not sure why it would now.

Those were the days when you had some of the legendary marketers as members. (Good times)..

Had this issue awhile back, was a little unclear how signatures worked when I first started.

Always read the rules prior to posting that may help you out in the future.
