Excellent Typing skills, but Don't want to Be Writer!

Hello

I have strong typing skills. I know Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. I do not want to be a copy writer, write articles, or do blogging.

Should I offer typing service to writers? They submit handwritten documents to me. I type, edit, proofread and submit documents back to writers.

Do you have any other ideas on how I can capitalize on my typing skills and get paid online?

Thanks for responding.

At Elance & Freelancer.com you can find many projects where they will send you a 10 page PDF and need you to retype it in word ect ... Try looking on there

I think that Proofreading is the best option if you would prefer not to create your own content. In all truth you can probably make the best returns by creating unique content. I think it's unlikely that others will want you to type up their notes as most people use WORD to create content anyway.

Proofreading is definitely great way forward. You can advertise your services here and on DP forums and site point forums or craigslist.

All the best for the future, you'll be great

How about a service providing transcriptions of videos?

You'll find that typing skills are not enough to be a good copywriter (or any writer for that matter).

This could be an option, but nowadays the transcription process is automated and humans only need to do a manual check.

Have you considered offering a collection of services as a virtual assistant?

You could offer typing, transcription, and other general tasks that people may need carrying out online.

Hearing u r skilled, industious but not creative.

Try to be so, u may visit a long way to success.

Now its my suggestion to search typing job in elance.com, freelancer.com or odesk.com to have a real experience that how cheap and hard ur work is. U can keep ur work easy and valuable by being creative and write ur own content.

Better u search for "virtual assistant" job in the same sites as RuthRNM said.
          Hope for the best.

Ok you are entitle to your opinion, but I am creative and plan on being a success story.

I comprehend what you were saying at the beginning of sentence, then you lost me at the end...Can you please clarify? I do not care to be a content writer.

            Hope for the best.

              How are your formatting skills?

There is a big market in creating professional resumes and C.V.s for people.

Most of the time they have all the information they need but their resumes look downright uninspiring.

Like graphic design, formatting is something a lot of people find alien because they have not developed a skill for it.

You could also provide formatting services for books and reports.

The best way is to curate your content. Just look up "Content Curation" on Google and you'll find plenty of courses that will teach you it.

    God bless!

Look into transcribing videos or audio files since you can type really fast. As long as you are accurate, you can make decent money. I offer a service where I transcribe 10 minutes of video (1 person speaking at a time) for $3.50.

Transcription. Lots of people are doing video and podcasts. A transcription adds significant value to their product, because a lot of people hate video and audio... for very good reasons. For example, some people are deaf.

Very true. For myself, unless I really want someone showing me step by step how to do something, I rarely have patience for videos. At times I love videos and audios, and other times I just want to read. You can skim a report for something to jump out at you. You can't do the same thing with an mp3 or a video. On the other hand, you can't read while you're fighting traffic or squeezed in a subway, and so audios definitely have the upper hand in such situations.

I like to point out that most people read several times as fast as people speak, so only producing spoken word material kind of shows a massive lack of respect for your customers' time.

Can also cost sales. I will often click on a WSO and if the main selling mechanism is a video page, I will click away 95% of the time.

You say you have good typing skills. Is your grammar impeccable? Proofreading can be quite lucrative and pay even more than just transcription. Also, people often don't like to fuss with formatting documents or proofing citations.

CD you speak the truth there, video is way too slow, that's actually a pretty good idea. Post a gig as "I will transcribe your wso videos for $x" and I reckon you will have some success.

I would say enhance your typing skills and use Dragon NaturallySpeaking which is a voice to text utility. It would definitely improve the way you present information and may even change the way you use your typing skills.

I can type pretty fast, but when you learn how to use Dragon NaturallySpeaking typing almost becomes a thing of the past, and you pay more attention to getting thoughts across.

Try it, and I am quite sure you will like it.

There's already a lot of free "online typing" sites that can help you in that area.

If you can type fast you can definitely make a lot of money as a article writer.

But if you don't want to do that I recommend setting up your own website where you offer a wide variety of typing related services. You could also write a eBook teaching people how to improve their typing speed and use it to build your email list.

    Just an idea.

How about creating a simple product on how to help people increase their typing skills? For those of us who want to write for a living, the fast we can type the better off we are.

Other than that, being a virtual assistant seems to be your best bet.
