Best-looking WP theme for an AUTHORITY site

Guys, I am in the process of working on content for one of my own projects (non-freelance) and it is looking like it will span 625 pages. Each page will be around 600 to 800 words and will include videos as well as infographics and diagrams. In short, I am building an Authority site.

My question: since it has all the elements above going on, what is the best WP theme you can recommend that does the best job highlighting the content? I won't be using ANY obvious advertising. The site will be monetized through its list. Which free or PAID WP theme can help me achieve my goals with such a site?

Thanks in advance

By clean theme, you mean the spacing and presentation of the text is easy on the eyes? If each page is going to run from 600 to 800 words, do you think it will still look good? Keep in mind that I plan to have diagrams, videos, and an infographic on each page as well.

Hmmmm... I cant think of any really good ones of the top of my head but I would be looking towards the magazine style themes. Although normally I tend to use Twenty Eleven for some reason and just customize it. I know the theme so well I can make any website I want from it practically. Fever Pitch is good for products and training courses. Heatmap theme is good for Adsense ands ads in general.

These days, I'm really liking the News theme for Authority websites.

    News Theme

It's also mobile-responsive and has a Landing Page template for sales letters.

If you are seeking for your own personal project and an authority one, I would go for custom made or in house development.

My personal taste of finding the custom Wordpress theme developer is to go at ThemeForest and look for the reputed authors who have been created some high rated themes there and contact them for custom work. It's not cheap, but it's worth it for my valuable properties.

I just wanna tell you that most of the links in the signature are trash and/or a trap to make you pay!

This is sensible. Would it be reasonable to start with a PAID THEME (like $100 or less) first. Fully write out the site. Build traffic. Build the brand. Then go to a CUSTOM theme? Or would this basically mean constant rebranding?

I consider site layout as part of an website's overall brand.

Ryan Deiss released a product a few months ago that was all about creating authority sites.

This is one example of his authority site:
Survival Life - It's your life. Prepare to survive.

This is the theme he was using for all his authority sites:
WordPress - Max Mag - Responsive Wordpress Magazine Theme | ThemeForest

Just look around and find a website that you would like to emulate. Then go here What WordPress Theme Is That? and find out which wordpress theme they used (that is if they did). This tool has helped me alot in the past.

I would suggest you use one of the Genesis Framework themes.. I've tried different themes from different providers (themeforest etc.) and I would say Genesis Framework worked best for me in terms of SEO , Cleanliness and Load Speed.
