Why do customers copy'n paste the same damn questions when you don't reply?

Anyone else get this?

Damn, I'm getting swamped with customer support questions from both buyers and non-buyers. I almost always do respond, but I leave it a few days (up to a week) before I respond, otherwise it gets in the way of my progress.

But I hate it when these idiots just copy and paste the same freakin email when I haven't replied for a few days. Makes me almost want to not reply at all.

I think that's your problem right there.

You could eliminate the problem by replying sooner.

I get what you are saying, there are some PIA customers but at the same time not responding or taking 7 days to respond is not good customer service IMO.

I hope you're making it clear to people that it might take up to a week for you to respond to emails.

If I was a paying customer and had to wait up to a week for a reply, I wouldn't be best pleased to be honest. Maybe be worth while investing in a VA to deal with your emails?

You should treat your customers well. It’s not a good idea to disregard their questions. You should also be gentle when you give your answers.

You can make more sales if you will be nice.

You can also be abandoned if you will be rude.

    Simple. Use a help desk.

Add the common (and uncommon) questions as knowledge base articles.

Before they open the ticket, they'll see the answer. I've reduced my tickets to near zero using this method.

I suspect it's typically because they feel aggrieved at waiting.

They perhaps sometimes justify it to themselves by telling themselves that their initial email "might have gone astray", but the reality is that they hope it speeds you up.

It really does sound as if some kind of help desk service could be pretty useful for you? Do you have - at least - an automated reply to the initial email explaining that the non-automated reply may take as long as a week? Please excuse the observation that I'd probably be pretty unhappy, myself, if I were a paying customer, waiting a week for a reply.

Ach, I'm not even a vendor in the first place - I have no business posting in the thread at all, to be honest (though that doesn't always stop me).
