Keywords ranking against youtube and big stores

Hey Guys,

I am now doing some keyword research and noticed that most of the keywords have youtube videos, amazon/walmart sites as well as shareslide presentations on the top page of google ...

Is it wise to complete in a space with those among top 10 results?

Yeah, especially if there are YouTube videos there. This means that you can go and upload your own video and as long as you get the basics right when uploading the video, get some views/likes/comments and keep building links to it, there's no reason why you can't join or replace the existing YouTube video that's already there.
