Video Marketing: What NOT to do!....

What's crackin' Warriors!

As the title suggests, I'm focusing this on what I've found to NOT work (not what does work). That being said, I don't know if any of you will find this valuable or not, but perhaps it will save you some time (just in case you've thought about trying it)....and you won't even have to buy a stupid WSO to learn this . Besides, I prefer to try and test things on my own rather than to just believe what the other 90% of the sheeple out there claim to be as the gospel regarding Scroogle, SEO, Penguin, Panda...etc

...anyway, I digress...

I do a BOATLOAD of video marketing (currently about 1100 videos just in one niche) and I have well over another 300 in various other niches. Does that make me an "expert" - I don't know. But what I do know is it does generate a humble part-time income for me which has lately been doing around $850-$900/month. I say this not to brag, but to at least give you a reference point.

Why video marketing? Well, the bottom line is for the most part, all I'm spending is TIME (in the evenings after work) rather than my money. Sure, I have a couple of websites related to the niches, but at the end of the day, it's the videos ==> that generate the calls ==> that generate me the chee$e!

So, I got a bright idea about 2 weeks ago to create a YT channel for my targeted keyword phrase and upload 21 videos to it.
  • Every video was the exact same video (same length).
  • I optimized every video file the exact same way using the target kw in the video file name and attaching a sequential number to the end (ie: kw1, kw2, kw3...etc..etc). Now you can't normally upload the same file like this to YT, I used a program that changes the encoding on each file to make it appear different when uploading to YT.
  • Optimized the YT channel name, and everything else on the channel.
Once all the videos were uploaded and I could see that none of them were going to be deemed "duplicate" videos, I simply optimized every Title, Description, and Tags the exact same way.

The Results:
  • None of the 21 videos appear within the first 4-5 pages even within YT. This is highly unusual compared to my normal results which are usually in the top 1-2 positions in YT immediately or within a few days.
  • Of course, I don't see any results in Scroogle either.
All this might seem obvious on the surface, but since I hadn't seen any mention of it here on the forum, I thought I'd test it out......so there you have it: Video Marketing: What NOT to do!

As the Most Interesting Man In the World Says, "Find out what it is in life that you do not do well, and then don't do that thing".
