Can anyone help with Studio Press?

I have been setting up a new site using the Outreach child theme from Studio Press. After looking around I decided to use the Genesis Responsive Slider. I got everything setup but for some reason it is not using the full image. It seems like it is cropping about 100px off the image ( a little off of each side )

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Perhaps you need to resize your image(s) to better fit the dimensions of the slider?

If your image is not in the same proportions as the slider window then you will likely end up with bars either above/below or to the sides of the image.
