What a newbie should do on day 1. I wish I did this

When I was first brought into the IM world, I was told

Money is in the list build a list.
You don't need to know any computer stuff you can hire people for that
If you know what google is you can make money online.
ect ect

So I took that advice, I started thinking about different products I could launch...Had a hard time with that.

I was desperate to make my first dollar online..I tried everything. I bought into a few wso's nothing seemed to work. Long story short I found a cool mentor he said start learning html, css and later into some programming and start with adobe products like photoshop and after effects.

Let me tell you, I am a dinosaur when it comes to computer stuff. But they're TONS of instructional video's about EVERYTHING on youtube. So I did it. Next thing you know just yesterday I was hired to make a small video production for a marketer, he paid me my first $50 online...took me only 2 hours to do. More to come, more to learn!

I WISH I STARTED LEARNING HTML ON DAY 1!!!!

    I self-taught myself HTML, CSS, and Javascript when I was 10 years old. Pretty valuable skill, come to think of it.

    But there's another lesson here; starting a service is both the easiest and fastest way of making money online if you're just starting out. I've made a fair bit of money doing whiteboard animations a couple of months back. Perhaps I should look into web design next.

    Congratulations on your success, Vlad. I hope you have many more in the near future.

    P.S. Almost forgot, but getting a mentor is also another valuable lesson to learn early on. Probably the fastest way to learn anything.

    Yes Joshua it is such a valuable skill...I was so scared of learning it because...I don't know just thought it was scary and hard. Turns out tech stuff is much much easier than I thought. It just takes a little hump to go over once you know it, it's easy!

    Also, It's really important to watch out for these "Mentors" a lot of times it's just about money or MLM offers

    HTML is a must language you must know when you're a product creator. It always come handy now and then. Even the beginner language is useful to edit some HTML pages to suite what you have in mind. I learned HTML from some coaching websites for free and now its paying me big bucks.

    HTML and CSS are essential. There are a lot of WYSIWYG website builders out there but you really cant tweak things around the way you would like to unless you learn these thing. There are a lot of free resources out there to help you learn. One that I used alot and still do sometimes is w3schools. There is also an excellent book called "Head First HTML" that simplifies it very well. Good Luck!

      Yea no problem! The money is in the list but learning html and programming is a plus because you can make unlimited money on elance and other sites. People would rather spend the extra buck to hire YOU than oversea's. Also, Check CL under creative or computer gigs. You will find tons of people who need stuff done and they pay well! again...unlimited money. There isn't a hidden link with a secret button on the web people are not telling you about. Money is made when Person A pay pals you cash.

      Buying the right wso's is another piece to the puzzle. They sell really cool programs and softwares.

    I am also thinking of learning HTML, XHTML, CSS, PHP. Knowledge is always precious. The more knowledge you will have in online, the more chances you will have to earn money online.

    "Money is in The List" is such a gimmick
    these days. There are too many solo vendors
    Around that can give you subscribers at little cost.
    The market is simply filled with low quality subscribers.

    The more accurate statement will be
    "Money is in The Responsive List"

    The key to successful list building is the
    ability to make your list react/click to your
    Email Campaign.
