Hey guys, I just figured i would introduce myself since i am new here. I have been reading a lot of posts and it is obvious you guys know what you are talking about. My goal is to make $140 dollars per week in 60 days through affiliate marketing. I am a full time student so i am not sure if that is possible, but it is my goal. My action plan so far looks like this: Find a product on clickbank purchase a domain name from godaddy.com redirect the domain to my affiliate home page Research keywords/phrases (find about 30) submit 5 -10 articles a day to ezine.com submit an RSS feed of my ezine.com profile to Feedage.com and Feedest.com write a small blog posts containing links to my articles to 3stepads.com, unique-article-database.com, and writers-block-unblocked.com digg my articles. Would you guys add or take out anything? I am very limited on money right now so other than purchasing a domain name i can not afford much more. Thanks ya'll, i really appreciate it. |

Don't use GoDaddy. Use Namecheap.com. Don't limit your submissions to just Ezine Articles. There are several others you should use in combination with Ezine Articles. Google "Top 21 Article Directories" and you should find a good list to start with. Do your keyword research first. Then choose a domain based on that keyword research. |

I normally use Namecheap for domains but Godaddy are better for redirects because you can mask the domain (maybe it's possible to also do this with Namecheap but I've never worked out how). I would test redirects against a landing page - often writing a killer presell for your product will convert alot better. I would get Hostgator hosting at about $9.95 per month and use Wordpress, however if you really don't want to pay for hosting you could use Blogger. Honestly in 60 days you should really be aiming for $140 a day rather than $140 a week - otherwise you probably would be better off getting a part time job. There are plenty of full time students and people in full time employment earning as much as 5 figures a month online so you should really aim higher. For your particular plan it's better to stick with just Ezinearticles - using other directories is fine for backlinks but they don't produce any major traffic. |

Ahh... I just love these kind of threads. I'd advise you to use variations of your articles while submitting to different article directories. Go one step further, create a blogger blog, a hub, a lens and submit feeds of all your profiles. Then use any rss feed mixer to have a variety of feeds. Find some long tail keywords and try to target them. Like you have a keyword called i need a long tail keyword then search for it in google and see if any web 2.0 site pops up on the first page. Create a profile on that site and gain some backlinks (preferably Angela's back links or Sam White's (hernan10) PR10 backlink can also help). - Lokesh Sharma |

| When I started out I set my goals in $25 increments - for instance my first goal was $25 a day, then $50 a day, then $75 and so on. I always set myself a deadline for each new goal. I don't always make my deadlines but most times I do, and without constantly setting myself new goals I probably wouldn't be where I am today.

I would certainly say you can set your sights higher than $140 per week. Writing 5-10 articles per day should get you to more than $20 per day within 60 days. Also try submitting to GoArticles. I think I saw Angela Edwards mention somewhere that GoArticles tends to rank articles higher than EzineArticles. Depending on the niche and whether you want to, when you start seeing some traffic coming to your redirected domain, possibly change it to an opt-in page to collect email addresses. As you say you are a bit limited on funds, of course you'll want to wait until you see some money coming in before investing in an autoresponder. Good luck and let us know how you get on. |

I would add an optin box to capture the emails of the readers coming to your blog. Why waste the traffic you have built? Go get Getresponse. I believe the first campaign is free... =) Write a short report of 5 to 10 pages and create an ecover. Good luck. Cheers, John |

$140 day is doable. But, for the time being, forget about money. The money will come in time, first, you must offer something far more appealing: value. What value does your customer gain from clicking on your links? What relationship will you build with them? If dollar signs are blinkering your vision, and if you fail to reinvest your first few month's net into expanding your reach, you run the risk of seeing a flurry of activity and then watching in horror as it tapers out to nought. Along with everything else here (above), you can (potentially) double your gross profit from the same number of visitors with an up sell of some sort. So, consider buying a niche related PLR e-book connected with, and complimentary to, your specific niche. Give it a new cover, a new title, and a new layout. Or, you could write or create a free report, But make it your own work, not some generic tome. Freshen said e-book's content a little, or, indeed, a lot, (thereby making it personal, unique, yours, and instantly more valuable to your prospective buyers), remove any and all existing affiliate links and replace them with your own links, and you instantly extend your affiliate 'reach' from the same number of potential visitors. But you also give extra value. The trick is to be remembered for all the right reasons: because you gave people so much more. Making a profit is all about increasing your conversion rates while also offering outstanding value. Hope this is of some use. |

2eagle22 i will not recommend godaddy as well. If you want just PM me and i will send you to the hosting service where you will get nearly 125usd for your PPC advertising at adwords, yahoo, etc... 125usd can be nearly 1250visitors to your site. Not so bad. |

You could donate plasma twice per month and make enough money to cover your hosting, domain, and possibly an autoresponder service. Do it once a week and you could also free up some time by outsourcing some of your articles. Also initially you should re-invest every dollar back into your business. This will benefit you in the long run.

Are the two mentioned here the best or something? I saw a list that had over 100 sorted by page rank and feedage and feedest were not at the top, although they were there. Just wondering how you chose those 2 places to submit to. I'd like to do the same thing but don't want to waste time on those others if everyone suggests going with those two. Looking forward to your replies. Thanks! | |

another question... you said that you would submit rss feeds each night... Is it true that once the rss feed has been submitted to the directory, then when you update your blog/page, the rss directory will automatically see the new content? So what are you talking about submit the rss feed each night? |

You've got a plan and lots of good advice. My advice would be to stick with it and don't get distracted by other IM business models just yet. ![]() Go for it. Peggy |

Find out the sources of your sale, add analytics to your site and upload (these obviously magnetic articles) to the directories that are really getting warm traffic to you..... $140 ... I bet you can just taste it.. Good luck mate, I wish you all the best :-) Glen |

When choosing products on ClickBank be sure to choose something that will pay you a decent amount for your efforts. Also remember ClickBank has products with recurring commissions now; might as well get paid over and over again for the same effort. Also check to see if the author has an affiliate page with promotion tools. That first sale is always sweet! |

GoDaddy offers full Proxy Registration.. better than whois gaurd. GoDaddy has coupons all the time. If you register 5 domains at once with a TLD you can get free proxy registration for a year... after which it renews at the basic rate. I can see no way you can assign a dollar value to what you are trying to accomplish. Article and links to Clickbank Products. Your plan seems viable to a point, but very narrow in focus and totally reliant on your ability to write articles that will get people to take an action. If you can do that then you could make it work. |
