Help needed starting a bussiness online

Hello,

I have finally reached the decision to start making a income by Internet Marketing, and came to this forum to request help.

I need ideas of what to do and how to start out in making money online, having no previous experience. So, I need to know what to start with, and what is a good idea to make money from.

I got like 1000$ to invest into this and don't want to waste them.

Best regards,
O.I.

To start online business, you 1st need to decide where you are good at. Are you good at writing or marketing, selling product or consultancy or what? Then according expertise you need to think about your online business plan. As it's a really hard part to think about it. Because sometimes only a single page website can change your luck.

So before investing in this area, you need to think hard and hard and come into a decision.

If you dont have a master plan then it will take like 10 min to finish your 1000 USD. Because there lot of fraud and cheat people out there and you need to careful from them .

Share your ideas with us. We will help you to setup your business.

    Thanks

There are many ways to make money online. Everyone will give you a suggestion, but you have to find out by yourself what you can do, what you want to do, and so on.

Don't spend your money before knowing how to prepare a smart business plan. Read many posts in this forum until you will understand the basics about internet marketing.

Search the forums and self-educate yourself for the next few weeks before making any decisions.

My advise would be to not buy any WSO or information products for at least two weeks. This forum is so full of great free information and great people who will help you out if you just ask.

Find out what you like best... building websites, email marketing, being an affiliate... once you find that out you can start looking at setting something up. Make sure that you have a plan first because that money can disappear very quickly in this business.

      Best Regards,

May be you need to go to investment forum, not here on WF. If you think Internet Marketing is some kind of investing things. Seems like you will need a mentor to open your mind and start learning how to make action and turn it into cash.

As I said, I can write very good articles and build professional websites, but I can't seem to be finding a business plan in this.

I actually wanted to say that I am ready to invest in something to build my business online, so I don't need everything for free, better paid but to work good.

      Thanks to everybody for this.

    My advice would be:

    - Figure out what you are already good at.
    - Find something in that area.
    - Learn, and as you learn implement!
    - Rinse and repeat until you are successful!

Honestly, I spent YEARS just learning! I am about to make a video about it actually. You can know everything in the world but if you don't act upon that knowledge you will never get anywhere!

    Best of luck to you!

Get out of the mindset of "trying to make money" and instead get into the mindset of "how can I help people".......have the right attitude and the money will follow...

Help people where you can add real value, something you're interested in, know a lot about, etc......be unique and different.

    Good luck!

People will only invest on your blog if they find a good return. To make your blog or site eligible for that you have to put a lot of effort, online business is not something which gives you instant return.

You have a long way to go.

For now, if you're completely new to IM, put your money away.

(And if you're a newbie, ignore any suggestions like "write articles" or "hire me to write articles for you." That's a single marketing TACTIC, VERY premature when you're new and don't even have an idea for a business yet. A rather ridiculous suggestion really.)

IM can be very confusing, but it's not really that hard when you clear away the clutter.

Clarity is a HUGE part of IM success. It's so simple when you know it -- and darn difficult when you don't! I owe my mentors a world of thanks for bringing this clarity.

IM is actually pretty simple: you can sell only one of two things:

    1. Products
    2. Services

    That's it!

And selling products or services online happens in the same basic way for everyone, no matter what they're selling:

    Traffic > Opt-in page > Autoresponder series (or e-zine) > Sales page

It's just that simple. (We IMers tend to overcomplicate things.)

So first, you need to pick a niche, pick a target market (who will buy what you're selling?), and then pick a business model.

What is your business model? Meaning, will you sell products or services? Will you sell your own products or services or will you be an affiliate for someone else's products or services? Do you want a membership-based business?

All of this requires research, but no money.

To get started, I always recommend buying at least one comprehensive IM course. Getting a mentor is a fantastic idea, as others have mentioned here. But if you're a complete newbie, you're better off starting with a course to learn the basics. You'll get a lot more bang for your buck if you have an understanding of the basics before investing money with a mentor.

You'll also get a lot more out of coaching if you already know what niche and target market you want to pursue first. Don't waste precious dollars paying a coach (by the hour or month) when you're still trying to figure out your niche and target market (unless you need specific help with that).

I paid my mentor $12.5K and it was some of the best money I ever spent. But I had a working knowledge of IM basics before I did that.

Two comprehensive A-Z IM courses that I love and recommend are Jeff Walker's Product Launch Formula (https://www.productlaunchformula.com/) and Ali Brown's Elevate training (Elevate 2013).

I've learned from both and they are at the top of their game. Well worth the investment!

I DO recommend investing in either one (or both) even if you don't know your niche and target market yet. You'll get valuable marketing how-to which can help you determine your niche and target market.

When you're starting out though, paying a flat fee for a comprehensive course is very different from paying someone for their time, which can easily run out while you're still trying to figure out the basics.

    Your tasks:

    1. Invest in one, comprehensive IM course. (Cost: approximately $2K-$3K).

    2. Research and decide on what kind of business you actually want -- that is, what niche and target market will you pursue? What will you sell? (Hint: article marketing is NOT a business!) (Cost: free).

    3. Invest in a good website. (Cost for web design: approximately $1500-$3K. I paid $2.5K for mine.)

    4. Then put the rest of your money into actually marketing, which will vary according to what you're doing.

Your biggest "spend" in the beginning is your time. And the money you invest in a basic, comprehensive IM course will shave big $$$ and a lot of time off of your learning curve. You can opt for mentoring if you feel you need it.

And if you do, you'll get a lot more out of it if you've already have a basic foundation under your belt.

    I hope that makes sense!

Do you want to offer a service or a product? Pretty fundamental question, a service such as building websites or writing is a good way to earn some quick income, but does not have any leverage in the model (it only scales to as much time as you have/willing to spend on your business).

On the other hand, packaging knowledge, information or resources (PLR for example with writing) gives you something you create once and then get to sell over and over which leverages your time.

So, of course, you need to...

    1. Pick a market/product that you will dig into and discover urgent demand & opportunities for products/services - you need to be willing to stay with this market for at least months, often years to really get the most out of your efforts

    2. Begin to build a platform within that market - you can start with your own blog, writing articles, producing videos - the idea is to begin to build a following, some traffic and interest around your topic. This way, you get a jump on marketing your product/services when you launch

    3. Research the market and uncover the emotional desire within the marketplace as well as a uniqueness you can offer that sets you aside from top competitors. This takes some digging and sometimes some testing, but is critical to succeeding down the road

    4. Introduce your first product/service - over-deliver and mine your customers for additional opportunities

I create information products and it works very well for an online business because people use the internet to search for help and information.
If you have a skill or interest in something that you know other people need help with and would pay for that help then this would be a great business for you to start.

I started to be interested in Internet Business and have making some money for about 8 months now. Here goes some tips based on my own experience.

    - Look for some mentors who have blogs with usefull and free information. This way you will start to have some ideas of what you can offer and how to make a online business of that. There is a plenty of good blogs out there, but I recomend to start with:
    - smartpassiveincome.com (The Best of Smart Passive Income)
    - jeffwalker.com

    - Learn about developing with Wordpress. You will need that at the start, later when you start to make money you will probably hire other people to do the design and developement and just think about business, but now know Wordpress. You can just buy pre build layouts and optimize them. It will be cheaper than hire someone to build it from zero. Take a look at:
    - templatemonster.com
    - 4templates.com

    - Study SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Here is good material:
    - SEO: The Free Beginner?s Guide From Moz
    - The Advanced Guide To SEO

Thats good stuff to start with. Good Luck!
