"Too many people overvalue what they are not
and undervalue what they are." --Malcom Forbes.

As an old hand in the world of copywriting, marketing, and design,
(with the best portion of 25 years behind me) but as a new contributor
to WF, I thought I'd take a moment of your time to first, introduce
myself (I'm pleased to meet you all), and second, to ask a question.

Rather than babble on about myself (all in good time), I'd like
to get inside people's heads a little by asking about people's ability
to make themselves and their products singularly uncommon.

Seth Godin talks about making one's self (and one's products and
services) remarkable, meaning making one's self notable, noteworthy, striking, extraordinary, wonderful, or somehow unusual and worth
remarking on to other people.

There is so much banality in marketing. So much that fails to impress
or to stand out. Then, when something leaps from the folds of everyday
life, some event, product, individual or what have you, our experience
shifts.

If you've time, watch the video and then ask yourself "How can I do
this in my marketing? How can I add value and delight to people's daily
lives and punch through the clutter?"

I'm not suggesting that everyone go to the lengths that the group in the
video went to at the end of March (it was all filmed in one take with 20 hidden cameras), all I ask is that you use it as food for thought.

Thank you for reading and I hope the video is worthy of remarks.
